Ok, Im nearly 69, and am still in possession of all my pubic hair. - but it seems that modern fashion means we should all be naked as the day we were born! From what I read/see etc online in the papers, TV, nearly all younger women have decided that pubic hair is no longer in vogue!! My dilemma is ,as far as medical stuff goes, I feel a bit foolish (and dare I say it-dirty) for still having mine!! Most of the nursing staff, doctors etc are much younger, and I feel they may look at me in a "grubby" way when I have been in hospital etc. Do any of you older ladies still have what god intended ??

This reminds me of a joke.

George W Bush was banned by many TV stations across America for beginning his speech with, 'My fellow merkins...' smile

Ye gods, if we all followed fashion where on earth would we be? A load of freaks, that's for sure - just look at those who are slaves to fashion.

Be your own woman, be proud of your body at any stage of life - that's my motto.

hmm

Gonegirl Wed 02-Jan-19 17:18:18

I think the OP sounded reasonable enough. The replies? ....... hmm!

Thanks, MawBroon, those Lucien Freud paintings were very entertaining.
Woman with (droopy) Daffodil looked a bit jealous of Woman with (perkier) Tulip, I thought.
Man with Leg Up looked rather uncomfortable.

Pretty sure it’s a wind up and probably written b6 a bloke but yes given us a good laugh and Ladyinspain probably long gone

Whether it's a windup or not I laughed out loud!

Atqui Wed 02-Jan-19 16:02:47

Curiosity OK ?

OurKid1 Wed 02-Jan-19 15:59:22

BBbevan That wasn't my question I hasten to add! I was quoting the OP and questioning the motivation behind their question. Can't think why anyone concerned at the removal, or not, of pubic hair, would want to know what others do. I shall now leave this thread as I can't really see the point of it (Yes, even though I'm still checking it ... )

BBbevan Tue 01-Jan-19 18:43:39

I've seen a lot as an art student

Lazigirl Tue 01-Jan-19 13:07:36

BlueBelle Mon 31-Dec-18 22:22:58

You don’t have to be a nurse to see a few ?

Lazigirl Mon 31-Dec-18 21:52:24

I trained as a nurse Izabella and believe me, once you have seen one you've seen the lot! Very mundane.

Izabella Mon 31-Dec-18 21:26:23

Reminds me of a friends t shirt slogan many years ago

I only wanted to be a nurse so I could see lots of willies

MissAdventure Mon 31-Dec-18 21:25:29

I have done weekly life drawing classes for years Lilylilo and have yet to see a model of any age with pubic hair. Although piercings and tattoos aplenty!

BlueBelle Mon 31-Dec-18 20:36:08

???

Lilylilo Mon 31-Dec-18 20:25:59

I often draw nudes and I can assure you all of them whatever age have pubic hair.

Lisagran Mon 31-Dec-18 20:22:17

Absolutely Mawbroon

MawBroon Mon 31-Dec-18 19:19:33

Who knows?
Whatever, it was clearly meant to show off, possibly shock, possibly titillate and like the boobs one ( which I won’t menion) no way could it be seen as an innocent question about personal hygiene.
Puerile ( perhaps literally) and guess what? It set off a train of a few jokes but also unpleasantness and suggestive comments.
Another one for the trash can?

Chewbacca Mon 31-Dec-18 19:16:42

Hmm Lisagran, that thought opens up a whole new can of worms!
