What can I call my cafe?

I don't have any better suggestions - but I think Sweet Charity or Tea for Two are good (as are the others too).

However, I hope all goes well with you; I have been to that market in years gone by - last time was a trip down memory lane as, when I bought something, the stallholder called me 'duck' .

I'm torn between Tea for Two and Sweet Charity

I like Sweet Charity, but wonder if people will think it sells sweets? I agree it shouldn't mention the charity aspect, although you could have a board inside telling people where the profits go. You could sell vouchers for a special Afternoon Tea, as a present idea. (nice treat and supporting local charity)

You want visions of cream teas, big chunks of home made cake and piping hot tea and coffee.

I think a lot of people do like an old fashioned name, perhaps with the name Tearoom. Or - Polly put the kettle on, or Pollys' Tearoom.

Good luck with your venture, how exciting. Wish I lived near, I'd support you regularly!

But 'Tea for Two' was my first thought..as it seems it was for others too!

Popular local tea-rooms are called Natters, Eliza's & Eden. They are always busy!

Breeze yes, I know, the proceeds after overheads I presume are going to two charities, but not a great idea having charity in the actual name ( as cold as charity?)
Names that seem to appeal to people now about tearooms are something old fashioned, as the very name Tearoom is old fashioned in itself, The Copper Kettle, or something nostalgic could be good.

How about Myosotis which is the 'real' name for forget-me-not.

It is a charity shop lemongrove but I know what you mean. I found that name a bit twee though. My personal favourite was Give and Cake or Tea for Two. Can't think of anything better off the top of my head.

Such a lovely thing to do pensionpat I wish you every success. We live many miles away but if I tell my DH I'm pretty sure he will move to Rugeley asap! He is a tea and cake addict

I liked the name “Sweet Charity” very much.

Not keen on Sweet Charity ( sounds like a charity shop)
But others suggested Market Tearoom, which sounds nicely old fashioned, or something flowery like Poppies Tearoom,
Or again already suggested The Currant Bun.

How about ‘My Old China’ (rhyming slang for friend: china plate = mate) and also refers to crockery used in tea room.

I love that ‘Cake Hole’ suggestion near the bottom of the first page! Really made me chuckle! You could even go for Stuff your cake hole - if you’re brave enough! ?
