Are you able to go to their home or will they come to yours? Could you cuddle the baby? Read a story? Sing a song? Keep him entertained while they get something done? Buy a pack of nappies? Lots of little but invaluable ways you can hopefully help x
That's right endlessstrife the OP should not worry but enjoy her new grandson. Her family will understand her limitations and work with it. It's important just to love grandchildren and I'm sure you are going to do that suedawes
Don’t worry about anything until you’re asked for help. It may be they won’t need any. Sometimes, I think when we struggle as older people, we forget how well we felt when we were young. They won’t feel like you do, they’ll have bags of energy. Just enjoy your little grandson, it’s their turn now.
My son and his partner have just had a gorgeous little boy. They are both quite young and my hubby and I would like to support them as much as possible. Unfortunately I have a few long term health problems, that mean I physically can't do much, and I get very tired. I feel bad that I can't do as much as I'd love to do. Have you got any advice for a worried new Grandma?
