I have signed up for telephone support. Waiting to hear too.

Having worked for the NHS for the best part of my working life if I was as quick now as I was then, I'd at least have helped during meal-times to free-up the nursing staff, but it would look like a re-run of Julie Walters's " Two Soups " grin
Wouldn't work would it ?

I've signed up for the NHS volunteer scheme, and I'm waiting to hear where/when/what I'll be doing. I've got a full DBS (required for all of the volunteer work, I think)

Taichinan Just keep well is the best you can do, which I hope you do.

I can understand your being anxious about that. But I understand your DH as well. I feel such a fraud sitting at home as a perfectly fit (but deaf) 78-year-old. It appears the best I can do is nothing!

DH would like to volunteer for the proposed new scheme.
Trouble is it’s not possible to be 2m away from someone in your car.

As I say he intends to volunteer as he’d love to help someone unable to get to an appointment if they have to self isolate,
but the point is nothing is black and white.
