Horns of a dilemma.

When I was small I used to visit an aunt who kept all sorts of interesting things in her attic. I usually spent the afternoon playing up there and was very fond of an old book that might have dated from 1920 or so. It featured a creature called a Dilemma who was some sort of dinosaur and I think he caught things on his horns.
No one remembers this story and I would love to read it again or know what the book was called.Anyone?

Probably was called ‘Horns of a Dilemma ‘ and probably that’s where the expression comes from 😂

More likely the other way round, crazyH I think the expression "the horns of a dilemma" was in use before that, even back as far as ancient Greece, referring to the two horns of an angry charging bull - if one didn't get you, then the other would!

"Di" would be for "two" meaning a choice between two.

Sorry kircubbin. I've checked with the all powerful Mr Google and was directed to many sites including ones about dilemmas, horns, rhinos, Revelations and the end times, dinosaurs and the Chinese Zodiac but sadly nothing about a children's story.

There are several encyclopaedias of children's literature, some have many volumes. You could contact your local library and see if they have any, you may be able to access some information on line via them.
