Have you seen the new ad? Some people are outraged and worried that children will be able to see it and wonder what is going on!

eazybee Mon 11-Jan-21 18:03:54

Seen one, bought one, eaten one;
not nearly as nice as they used to be.
But it is a ritual :
If Easter eggs appear (just after Boxing day)
Can Spring be far away?

Definitely a no for the Ad! Where is the 2 metres social distancing between the 2 men?

Smileless2012 Mon 11-Jan-21 17:48:29

Well I never share minegrin

Toadinthehole Mon 11-Jan-21 17:45:32

Love creme eggs...part of my balanced diet?. As disco says, they are smaller. I thought there might be something different about the chocolate too....but not enough to put me off.....unfortunately! Haven’t seen the ad.

Tweedle24 Mon 11-Jan-21 17:43:11

I looked the ad up online as I had not seen it. I thought it was silly and, if anything, would put me off them, if I had not tried one. Personally, I can’t stand creme eggs, even before they changed the chocolate.

The only thing wrong with that advert is the thought of sharing.

One must never share a Cadbury Creme Egg

Smileless2012 Mon 11-Jan-21 17:42:00

Thanks for the link GagaJo. Can't see what there is to complain aboutconfused.

DiscoDancer1975 Mon 11-Jan-21 17:41:43

Oh yes, definitely smaller?. Have been for a few years.

cornishpatsy Mon 11-Jan-21 17:36:10

I have read a lot of fuss about it yet we were ok with the woman in the bath eating a flake suggestively.

Oh never watched the advert was I suppose to ? where is it?on mainstream tv haven’t noticed it but then I d probably blank out at them it’s not Easter for months and they aren’t on my radar yuk

GagaJo Mon 11-Jan-21 17:32:12

Are they smaller? I haven't had one since just after the chocolate changed.

DiscoDancer1975 Mon 11-Jan-21 17:22:58

Can’t say I’ve noticed the difference in the chocolate, the size of the thing, well that’s different ?

Maggiemaybe Mon 11-Jan-21 17:21:11

Oo, I really fancy a creme egg or six now. The chocolate’s not what it was but oh, that sickly filling. smile

I can’t see a problem with the advert.

Hetty58 Mon 11-Jan-21 17:09:56

Ridiculous to worry that children 'will wonder what's going on'. Why would they?

It may make some people (maybe ex public school?) feel uncomfortable - but that's their own problem.

Creme eggs, though? No thanks, too sweet and sickly, even for a confirmed chocaholic like me!

Ngaio1 Mon 11-Jan-21 17:04:20

Have not seen the ad. Cannot stand the sickly things.

Grandmabatty Mon 11-Jan-21 17:01:58

I don't watch adverts but it being two men doesn't bother me. Sharing any chocolate on the other hand...

AGAA4 Mon 11-Jan-21 16:47:39

Silly advert.

BlueBelle Mon 11-Jan-21 16:45:35

Yuk I hate them sickly nasty chocolaty things not for me at all

GagaJo Mon 11-Jan-21 16:43:58

No. They quietly replaced it a few years ago with chocolate that tastes like Hersheys (which is vile, tastes of oil).

grandMattie Mon 11-Jan-21 16:43:27

Just watched it. Ugh. But then I think that Creme eggs are revolting too!
DGS's stepfather was a lorry driver and one year was driving over 100,000 eggs around the countryside...

DiscoDancer1975 Mon 11-Jan-21 16:40:44

Isn’t it dairy milk chocolate anymore Gagajo ?

GagaJo Mon 11-Jan-21 16:38:55

I used to love creme eggs but now they have horrible American chocolate, I don't like them. Guess it's a good thing. The fondant with the liquid glucose is SO bad for me.

GagaJo Mon 11-Jan-21 16:38:03

I've seen it. And? It's two blokes being silly with a chocolate egg.

Why the fuss?

Not seen it and a bit confused as I don't know what it shows?

DiscoDancer1975 Mon 11-Jan-21 16:27:12

Haven’t seen it, but am pleased the eggs are back?
