Thanks both. All sorted. I saw one locally advertised but after buying a couple of second hand beds and them being rubbish I always want to buy new.

Ohmother, have you tried 'Beds.co.uk'?

We bought a mattress from them, 2/3 months ago, and had good service.
I think if you browse their site you may find something you like.

Sorry Ohmother, I have a bed like you describe in our spare bedroom, but I bought it over 8 years ago, so though the firm still exists the cost of their beds is a lot higher now.

I’m looking to buy ( for the spare bedroom) a small double ottoman bed with a med/firm mattress. Can anyone here recommend one at a decent price?
