Steam mops.

I've got one in the loft looking for a new home.

I have a Polti steamer, it’s about 10 years old and going strong.
I used it yesterday to steam clean carpets in a house I let.
It’s does an excellent job.
I use it for clothes, mattresses, carpets, windows and floors.
It will also do a good job on sanitary ware.

I'm resigned to thinking that they are all variations on useless. I've wasted a lot of money on them, as DH and the cupboard under the stairs will confirm.
They just seem to heat up any dirt, turn it into slush and move it around in my experience.
For hard floors I've got a Flash speed mop, which was a star purchase of last year.
