Well I hate football but I watched that and got a tiny tiny bit excited Well done England ???

It was fabulous- England was the better team and showed it. We have not had a Euro score like that since 1966. I cannot wait for Wednesday at Wembley. There was a lot of crowd support tonight- on Wednesday they will receive a standing ovation when they enter the stadium.

My dd was watching in her flat in Yorkshire. Just as the second goal was scored, the building next to her was struck by lightning! ?

I’ve seen reports on FB of it happening round here - huge flashes and the TV going off, right in the middle of the match!

My dad used to insist on unplugging the set in a storm - that would have gone down well tonight. grin

Great result, England!

Wonderful result, let's stop worrying about inconsistencies and what's not fair, alot of people are ecstatic about the score and England going through to play Denmark.
The score has given alot of people lift.
I did not feel sorry for Ukraine, it's a sport, winners and losers and England won.
I am over the moon tonight and so are my family.

Hear hear!

Who knew Rosie was an England fan? She was loving it (probably wondering why nobody fetched that ball though)

Fabulous result for England.

My book club met outside which went very well but obviously the weather made a difference.

Four goals are enough now! I feel really sorry for the other team.

Perhaps your choir could start back outdoors.

vegansrock Wed 30-Jun-21 08:46:36

There was a lot of singing and dancing inside the pubs which had the big screen.

Large outdoor meetings have been shown to carry far less risk than was at first thought.
It’s being indoors and close together where the risk lies.

Gwyneth Wed 30-Jun-21 08:29:11

Presumably because your choral society meets indoors whereas the fans were outdoors.

Newquay Tue 29-Jun-21 22:11:10

Congrats to English team but-really?-my choral societies cannot yet sing together and look at the thousands that did at football-so inconsistent!!
