I second the Ninja foodi. Unlike other gadgets, I do use it most days.

Thank you for your replies. Nobody seems to have a bad word to say about them! I've made up my mind to get one, I just need to decide which make and model. There are so many to choose from!

I have the ninja foodi 6.5q. I use the air fryer function regularly. I would love the ninja grill but don't have the space for it sad.

I have the Ninja Foodi Grill which is also an air fryer. This is the function I mostly use and I find it great for pretty much everything I cook. I use is almost every day.
There is enough room to cook a meal for 2 people in the grill, but if you need something bigger they (Ninja) also have an XL grill which is shallower but with a bigger cooking area.

I've never had an air fryer, but have considered buying one. What puts me off is the size of the cooking compartment. Would someone with experience tell me how much can be cooked at a time. For instance : fish, is there enough room for two pieces of salmon, or similar.

I first bought a Phillips Airfryer in 2005, didn’t like the Tefal, too big for my worksurface . The Phillips was brilliant, brought an extra pan , made lovely brownies and crumble. Still going strong. Brilliant for all sorts of grilling and frying.

I have a Ninja which I also use for pressure cooking.
It is not so good for slow cooking unless you heat it first but I used the air fry function frequently.

Yes I use mine every day . Baked potatoes are lovely in it as are chips . Also lamb chops , chicken , bacon and sausage. You can even do eggs in their shell - like a boiled Egg . Mine is a tower one but I’ve only had one so can’t advise on the different brands . Just can say Definitely get one !

Apologies if this has been asked before, I couldn't find a recent thread. I am thinking of buying an air fryer. Does anyone use one regularly and are they as good as the manufacturers make out? I can see they are healthier than a deep fat fryer, but how do they compare to just baking things in the oven? I've not owned a deep fat fryer since the 80s! I don't want to waste my money on a gadget that is just going to sit there, unused, after a week or so! I've done a little research and this one seems decent. ninjacooking.co.uk/?promoproduct=AF100UK&gclsrc=aw.ds&gclid=CjwKCAjw_o-HBhAsEiwANqYhp4PkXlRfI7zO1attxbRRjp9BdOHj1a-ScmLGULmvQGPVFm82MtlHEBoCWZAQAvD_BwE
