What makes you Happy

My grandson. Watching him play guitar and telling me about his dreams.

Sunshine on a lovely day. Clean sheets. A cold beer when it’s hot. Floating in a pool with blue sky above.

Snuggling with DH on the sofa as we watch a good film.Just done that tonight, the film was called ‘Remember’ and was a real cracker, Christopher Plummer giving a masterclass in acting.

Mr. B. Sometimes I look at him sitting reading or whatever and just smile because he’s here.

My lovely, sweet, cheeky little dog who loves his walks in the woods.
Nature, all the wonderful birds around here, especially the great spotted woodpecker who comes for breakfast in the morning.

I didn’t mention our lovely loyal dog who is gentle and good company and we love her.

Picking blackberries today. Lots of juicy big ones and I can see lots more to come. I turned them straight into blackberry cordial and now it’s in a bottle in the freezer.
When we go onto porridge for breakfast, the cordial will go on the top.
So that’s a double happy in my book.

Apart from family, coach trips, steam train trips, my tortoiseshell cat and pop up books,

Walking in the countryside where it is peaceful, and visiting our two young grandchildren. Guaranteed to leave me feeling relaxed and happy.

My husband, My family, My pets. My garden, and waking up every morning. Lot to be grateful for.

Making an effort to appreciate "magic moments", whether they be beautiful sunrises, flowers, smells or whatever.

My family make me happy. We went to see our DD and GD today in Lancashire. We had a nice lunch just sorry when we leave. We saw our son and his family at the weekend they don't live far away. We are in touch with our friends who all live local. I love my garden growing veg and planning special meals with sparkling wine.

My tortoise! If I ever feel like giving up on something, just watching her hopefully attempting to climb up the raised beds every day to get to my veggie patch makes me keep on trying. On a more serious note though, seeing my daughters and grandchildren healthy and happy in their lives gives me the greatest feeling of contentment and always makes me smile.

Knowing all is well with my family.
