Are heat pump tumble dryers worth buying?

Not heard about those Kitty so have just looked them up. I see their prices vary a lot.

The door on my dryer has broken and has to be held shut by placing a stool in front of it. Though, it is 30 years old so has served us well.

DD3 sings the praises of her heat pump dryer, particularly for saving ironing, but they are about 3x the price of a bog standard one like ours.

So, have you got one, do you like it, what make is it and do you think it is worth the cost?
