I wasn't suggesting that but I dont think its right to sleep with someone you've just met and don't intend to see again. Some of the young people boast about sleeping with hundreds of people.

I always thought tongues and licking things (like old Crunchie ad) had a sexual connotation.

I don't see why. None of my friends led a promiscuous life.We hitched all over Italy and Greece and noticed that the men gathered round the English and American girls who were thought to be easy.

Not knowing about oral sex is a weird concept for someone who lived through the 1960s.

It's not a joke.The first time a man asked to try it I was in my 50s and when I refused he told me his wife would never do it either.I think he had some luck with a younger girl. We had no sex education growing up in 60s.

kircubbin2000 is a well known and liked member (oooer) on the board. She could well be joking with us, but it isn't a fake post.

I remember being about 8 or 9 and knowing what sex was. The technical aspects of it. I remember being SO disgusted by the thought of the... insertion, that I decided it wasn't possible and that it was just a bit of rubbing in general, rather than penetration.

Can't remember when I found out that I was wrong and that I had it right the first time.

Young and old across the centuries. Sometimes frowned upon, but also used by some as far, far less risk of pregnancy.

In 1969 it was “all the rage as” soissant neuf. Think about it.

Young people now do a lot of things that don't seem all that pleasurable to the auld yins among us. They know about them because sex and the many varieties of it are talked about far more, and having read and talked about it, they believe that everyone except them is practising all the varieties all the time, so if they are not then they are freaks.

The puritanical members of generation before us thought that educating the young about the basic facts of life was going to send them all behind the bike sheds to try it out - in fact, without any information at all their maturing bodies prompted them to try it (usually the missionary position!)

I don't know whether the vast amount of information about the less usual methods is a good or a bad thing for adolescents who have had no experience even of the basic missionary-style. It doesn't leave anything to discover later.
