I've not long had breakfast but it was very meagre - a bit of granola and yoghurt. I'm quite well stocked with goodies but can't decide what to have and need some inspiration.

What are your eating plans for the day?

Homemade roasted vegetable soup for lunch - we were supposed to be having steak pie for dinner, but my four-year-old grandson loved 'granny's soup' so much that he insisted on having it for his dinner too (with crusty bread).

Bacon, egg and grilled tomatoes for breakfast.
Lunch was Tomato and basil soup with a couple of pikelets. An orange.

Chilli and prawn linguine a yellow sticker bargain for 63p in Morrisons for tea. Berries and yogurt after.

2 coffees and a banana for breakfast.

After that I went swimming so I had a big fat bacon and grilled tomato sandwich on granary when I got home because I felt I'd earned it and then some fresh fruit and Greek yogurt a bit later. That was a breakfast and lunch combined.

2 cups of tea pm

Both sons here which is unusual, so have made a Goan chicken curry, it's meant to be made with fish but I changed it to chicken with Basmati rice. After which we'll have various cheeses, biscuits and grapes but in particular a Camembert which my husband tells me reeks to high heaven, I only bought it yesterday, but he insists it should be eaten if only to get rid of the smell. and as they are both staying the night we'll have some wine too

Home made lentil soup for lunch.
Pasta bolognese for dinner.?

Great thread, Riverwalk, lots of ideas for a change of menu. ?

I'm planning on making a butternut squash, prawn and spinach curry.
You're supposed to use Thai Red curry paste which I haven't got. I'm going to use a korma paste pot instead. I'm sure it will be good.

I have had goat's cheese on toast this morning and lunch will be chickpea curry. I like that I can have vegetarian days without having to find meat alternative.

BBbevan Fri 14-Jan-22 09:40:53

Possibly a mushroom omelette for lunch and cod and prawn stew with fennel for dinner.

Dinner will be a cheese soufflé recipe which I have made a few times. It’s actually a Simon Sharma recipe.
