I just wondered if anyone has experienced pelvic pain with IBS?
I have low down pelvic pain to the right side , also other ibs symptoms.
I have had exceptional stresd over the last 12 months and have had IBS in the past, but not had flare up for while.
I have made gp appointment, only telephone at present.
I only really notice discomfort when I excercise eg sit ups etc.
Thanks for reading

Nana56, I’d be really interested to hear how you get on. My symptoms are very similar especially the right sided pelvic discomfort and having had various tests and scans my doctor said that I probably have ibs.

I have had the same problem for months, the longer this went on the more worried I became it would turn out to be something sinister.
I had had a very worrying couple of months but after lots of scans and tests I am now on anti depressants hopefully short term and after 4 weeks I feel the gloom is lifting .The Dr said she thought I had anxiety which was causing my stomach pains.

I have IBS and find a warm bean bag will ease the pain considerably. You may need to move it around a bit but certainly helps me.

I find that my TENs machine really helps.

The main thing is mentioning it to the GP, even if just a telephone consultation. Then they might see you/refer you. If nothing is found you usually get an IBS diagnosis.
How did you get on Nana?
