Plant apps have their limitations, but can give a start to identifying a plant. Better to post on here, as there are some very knowledgeable Gransnetters who could help.

Gransnet is a great place to get plants identified - post a picture, or preferably 2, and someone is sure to identify it for you.

I don't use any apps. I use the Google lens function on my phone. It can usually identify what I'm looking at.

We use Leafsnap. It's free to use but you do get ads, it's brilliant. You take a close up pic of the leaf or flower and in a couple of secs identifies what it is.

Don't those apps only give you a trial period before charging. I've tried both and can only get 7 days before they want to charge. I suppose one could use the trial period more than once.
