I bought tickets for Disney on Ice at the Manchester AO arena for my three granddaughters and their mother who live in Manchester (I don't and can't travel there). The tickets which cost me £160 are on my phone and ' not transferable ' nor can they be printed. It's such a shame! Can anyone help? Has anyone else experienced this? They are so obsessed with ticket fraud and upselling that grans buying tickets for grandchildren for children's show is not considered!

Can you not forward the email to your daughter?

I seem to remember a similar quandary a while back.
Why can’t you just forward the email to one of your granddaughters or their mother?
Failing that, ring the Bx Office and explain.

Can you take a screenshot and send it to the mother. If she meets a sympathetic,
sensible ear at Arena or contacts them in advance they may sort it out. I hope you can get it sorted between you! I really think they should let printed copies through in these situations. She may be able to print at her end. Good luck.

I think you could forward the email to your daughter for her to access the tickets. Good luck !

I always screen shot e-tickets in case I can’t access them at the venue. If you do that and send to your daughter there should be no problem. ?.

That’s not what “not transferable@ means grin.
Forward the email to your sauger or screenshot the tickets. That’s absolutely fine.

Daughter not sauger!

the screen shot says they are inadmissible as tickets. the tickets say they are non-transferable. I have written to ticketmaster and the best they can tell me is to check every day on my account to see if the tickets become transferable nearer the date, there is nothing they can do..My next stop is to see if the AO Arena can do anything...but I will give it a few days. Thank you so much for responding all of you. The other suggestion they have is to put the tickets in my Apple Wallet: from ticketmaster last night:

"I’ve checked on this event for you, and unfortunately, ticket transfer isn’t available at the moment. It’s possible that it may be available nearer the event date, but this isn’t something that we can guarantee.

At this stage, if you want to transfer your tickets, we can only advise to keep checking back to your account to see if the transfer function is made available nearer the time.

You can also transfer via the Apple Wallet if you use an Apple device. Please click here to see instructions on how you can transfer your extra tickets from within the Apple wallet."

I haven't tried that yet, I do have Apple wallet, I assume it would mean my DIL would have to have apple wallet too (I don't think she has). Am sick to death of the time and effort getting these tickets to her, we don't have an easy communication at the best of times! but we manage. She tends to just not answer me as if I am making it all up.

Yes, screenshot the tickets and email that to your daughter

So sorry, I didn't see the above post.

as well as possible help from you the point of this posting is to warn any of you buying tickets...maybe its because its Disney, maybe its because its the AO Arena but when I bought them I read and re read all the terms and conditions ...it said you could print tickets it said they could be transferred but all rather opaque and general...so I bought the e-tickets as they were the only ones available, 5 months before the event, so good seats.

The only other option Ticketmaster offer me is to sell them back to them at a loss. I could then get my DIL to buy tickets (but not those tickets!) herself. The event has nearly sold out and the tickets available are of course not as good. The girls, great Disney fans are looking forward to going.

My DIL and two of her daughters have inherited muscular dystrophy and the charity for their condition had tickets for Disney on Ice as top prize in their raffle..which gave me the idea to book tickets for them when it came to Manchester in November. I had no experience of booking tickets via ticketmaster and big arena shows before. So learn from my lesson and be very careful. Most tickets are transferable...its a different world.

I don’t know where you live, but is there no way you can travel to Manchester and stay overnight in a hotel? You could then accompany them to the concert and go off somewhere and do your own thing. I bought my daughter and her friend tickets for Hamilton last year for her birthday. I simply emailed the tickets to her and all was well - even though they were in my name.

Ticketmaster say on their website that for ‘some events’ the Account Holder ( person who purchased the tickets) has to go in person to the venue with their proof of purchase ( I assume their phone) along with their guests.

I guess they should make it clearer when tickets are purchased as ‘non transferable’ is very vague.

As the OP says , beware.
