Microsoft have just phoned again - spooky!

I have had loads of phone calls to this effect. As I don’t have BT I just laugh. Yes I also had the mum I’ve broken my phone as well.

I have had this one too, telling me that my payment hasn't gone through therefore I am about to be disconnected. A quick check on the bank account confirmed this is a scam. Last night we had the 'mum I've broken my phone' one too.

I get this type of call early morning - often before 9am.
The last cheeky so and so even offered to wait while I got my PC up and running then he’d talk me through what to do!
It’s reassuring to know that so many of us on GN are aware of these scams - my MiL at my age would have been taken in by all sorts.

Definitely a scam. I’ve had the text and I’m not even a BT customer.

I haven't had a text but have had several emails and almost daily phone calls telling me they are going to disconnect me unless I update my details.
Definitely a scam, these criminals are everywhere.

No necessary numbers makes me sure it’s a scam , delete

Not had this one but it’s definitely a scam.

Mr C has had several. We know a scam in his case as his mobile number isn’t registered with BT.

If you’re really worried grannys why not contact BT via one of the usual methods (I find those in line chat things work in these cases) and check but my guess is it’s a scam.

I have had several text messages purporting to be from BT which have no BT branding, no account number or anything to identify that they are about my account. They threaten to cut off internet access in fourteen days. Has anyone else had this? I am pretty certain it’s a scam but would be interested to know if anyone else has had these. Today’s is the third in about three weeks.
