Just don’t forget your shopping bags, boxes etc. Supermarkets I’ve used just roll out the shopping in trays and it’s up to you to pack the items into your car, so if you don’t take bags etc, you’ll just have to put it in your vehicle bagless. They let you know if there are any changes and if any items missing, damaged etc they immediately sort out the refund.

As soon as I pull into a designated bay a staff member pops out asks my name (have your window down for speed) the goes and brings out my shopping in trays which I then load into bags in my boot. Job done it’s very efficient at Tesco, I’m sure Asda is equally efficient.

Our Tesco has a push button next to the click and collect area, clearly marked bays, that alerts the staff inside. I am sure there will be a queue of people in the area who will tell you what to do.

Our Sainsbury's have a delivery van in the car park and hand it out from there.

If you are baffled, park in the designated space - then go into the shop and tell Customer Service you are unsure what to do next. Good Luck!

Don’t worry ExDancer , kind GN’ers will be along in a minute with experience of Asda. I have done other supermarket’s c&c service and there is always a few designated car parking spaces well sign-posted.
There will be information on signs when you get there.
Morrisons, Waitrose and Sainsbury’s - you ring a phone number which is printed on the sign, give your Name, your car make, colour and registration and then they bring your shopping out in a trolley to the boot for you to put in.
QR codes must be the latest way of doing it, but I am sure not everyone has the wherewithal to do it that way. There will be options.

Hoping to save time, I've arranged to 'click and collect' my groceries from Asda. Now I'm wondering how to go about it?
I've seen cars parking in the designated area, but how do you alert the store that you've arrived to collect the order? I assume the staff bring it out to you and you unload it into your car yourself ....... ?
But is there an 'etiquette' to the procedure?
Do you park your car is a partivular place or just pick a spot at random?
I've been told I scan a QR code but don't have a smart phone or any apps or anything like that.
Any tips?
Have I been just that bit too lazy and bitten off more than I can chew?
