Where to donate surplus bedding

I have a quantity of good quality sheets, duvet covers, pillowcases etc. I wonder if anyone knows which charities would either sell these or give to those who need them. I am told that a lot of charity shops send bedding for rags which seems a waste.

Some charity shops do sell them, phone your local ones. The quality is really irrelevant it is still second-hand bedding.

You could try your local Facebook “ In need” pages or freecycle.

We have two local charities, one for families in need and one for victims of domestic abuse who’ve been rehoused, both get any spare things from us.
Facebook is a good start, there are quite often free/giveaway sites on there.

My local Cat and Dog shelter will take sheets, blankets and towels, but not duvets - I expect they’re difficult to launder.
