What's for dinner?

We're going out for a carvery. We've had a stressful day and lots of pubs around here are offering 50% off.

I'm afraid I'm going to let the side down today because my kitchen has just been ripped out for the new one. Microwaved soup.
Parmentier potatoes are a good alternative for chips Romola. Dice them into squares, chuck on garlic and rosemary, drizzle with oil and roast for 30 - 40 minutes.

A vegetable suet bacon roly poly and instead of onions in it my hubbie has put runner bean chutney,Tummy rumbling as I write.

I'm just watching The Barefoot Contessa on the Food Channel - she's making 'risotto cakes' which have 'erbs' in the recipe.

The Food Channel is my guilty pleasure!

Beans on toast

Red onion and pork sausages, mushrooms, sweet potatoes, baked beans and a tin of tomatoes in saucepan together.

Scallops bacon mash potatoes with peas.

What are parmentière potatoes please?
Chicken sarnies for me tonight.

Mushroom risotto

Penne pasta with quorn in a tomato sauce and a sprinkle of Parmesan.

Left over Paella from M&S - they seem to have lost their touch - not very tasty - no salt, no pepper - just a lot of chorizo 😫

It's a mushroom omelette tonight, with parmentiere potatoes and carrots with brocoli and sweetcorn.
Maybe a chocolate brownie to follow.

Sort of cauliflower cheese, kale, spring onions, carrot and cauliflower, all steamed then smothered with very cheesy mustard sauce few bacon lardons, baked in oven with cherry toms and Parmesan on top, usually delish!

Lynne`s already had hers, soup, mine later will be burgers in baps.

Egg fried rice with salmon in an orange, chili and soy sauce.

Cottage pie. The remains from yesterday

Steak, mushrooms and a few oven chips here, plus small salad.

Cannellini bean, veg, rice soup. Bread, salad.

Unpleasant weather, we and our dogs will eat by an open fire.

Dessert, after dog walk, nut torte made for a birthday Monday.
