Happy Valley Theories ***Warning: may contain spoilers***

After learning how evil Tommy really is, I think that in the last episode when he was speaking to his dad, Ryan was trying to find out where he was to set him up to be caught.

I think that there will be a showdown between Catherine, Ryan and Tommy, and the good guys will win. I believe that the ending is awesome.

Can't wait - sub-titles as the ready!

I go round in circles, as Calendargirl seems to do too ).

I fear for Claire. She seems doomed to a bad end - either death or finding out that Neil was only with her to get to Catherine.

Ryan will survive, I think; but whether he will go off with Tommy or make peace with his granny remains to be seen.

Alison? Could go either way, but is likely to play a role in the denouement. The actress is too big a name to have come in just to fix Catherine's car and drive about in a forklift.

Neil is a baddie, I think. Or maybe not.

I have no idea what will happen with the teacher or the pharmacist. The little girl's coat might be a distraction, or maybe she's an unwitting drugs mule or something. Who knows? The subplots are too much for my little brain to follow.

I did wonder if there would be a final shock twist, with all the ends seemingly sewn up, and Catherine (plus or minus any of the others) heading off to see the world in the Landie when it explodes because of a bomb planted by Tommy or the gangsters. Or Catherine and Claire doing a Thelma and Louise, killing the gangsters, Tommy and Neil, and driving it off a cliff, leaving Ryan to inherit the Earth.

My paper had an article imploring those of us who will watch tonight not to let the cat out of the bag on SM, not to spoil it for a) ppl who watch later on catch up and b) viewers in other countries who are behind the uk with the story.

I can see cats being let out all over….

Whatever happens, I want Catherine and Ryan to come safely out the other side.

It’d be good if all the baddies, including TLR, the criminal gang, Faisal and the PE teacher, got their come-uppance, but I can’t see how that can possibly happen in the space of 70 minutes!

I think Alison or Ryan will kill Tommy...and potentially Claire will die!

I think Tommy will die.

Also think Claire might.

There again, so could Catherine, Alison, Nev.

Don’t think Ryan will.

No idea really, of course.

With TLR out of Catherine’s life for good, but hope she’s not left traumatised! Ryan will come good, I hope.

Sorry, no idea. I’m the only one in my family who hasn’t watched it. 😂
