What films could you watch again and again?

Brief Encounter
Rebecca (1940)
Jaws
1970’s Sinbad movies
Top Gun
Carve Her Name With Pride

Starman

On but slightly off, topic. My favourite film is a French film called The Big Picture starring Romain Duris. However, a month ago when I was desperately trying to move money around, one of the many, never-ending security questions I was being asked by my bank was 'What is your favourite film?'. Obviously I had set this question ages ago, but could I think of it?? No! Nearly drove me around the bend. Changed my security questions later, but whenever the subject of favourite film comes up, I react with abject horror!
PS My other favourite films are like many of you have mentioned - Goodnight Uncle Tom, Brief Encounter, The Railway Children.

Chocolate.. All day everyday

Ktsmum Much though I always enjoy RW films, I much prefer the original of this - La Cage Aux Folles.

Kind Hearts and Coronets
The Italian Job {original version}

Most of the Carry on films
Whistle down the Wind with Hayley Mills
All of the Will Hay films
The Love Match with Arthur Askey.

Someone else has already said how many of these films are listed in the most hated a couple of days ago! For me

Definitely no musicals or romance - yuck
I love watching films but find the older films really dated and realise now that the acting wasn’t that great then either. I know that’s not a popular opinion but they all seemed to be full of simpering women and men wearing hats and smoking 😹

My husband and I used to look out for Casablanca , Brief encounter at christmas time when it seemed to us to be so crazy that to celebrate christmas they put on endless war films!! now of course you can store films and record things but this was before that was possible.
