I always wash my specs with soap and water, dry on a towel. For my phone, iPad and Chromebook screens I use cold a used tea bag , then wipe off with a damp j-cloth and then dry with one of those micro fibre cloths. I do the same with the tv screen

A tea bag! I willill try that

Why would you need to use wipes on a tv?

Coco51 Sun 09-Apr-23 13:25:03

You could use reusable cloth spectacle wipes,

Iam64 Sun 09-Apr-23 12:29:18

Just use a dry micro cloth - avoid unnecessary use of wet wipes , they’re awful for the environment

Never use a spray on electronic equipment such as laptops, phones or TVs!

I use the same wipes for these as I do for my glasses - the cheapest from a local shop, as they stay damp longer in the sealed packets than other makes.

Are we not advised to attempt to stop using wipes as they are bad for the environment. That’s what my DD and GDs tell me if they see me attempt to use floor wipes etc.I’ve resorted to e- cloths now so much better.

Yes we’re were advised but obviously some didn’t get the memo.

Wilko wipes are all plastic free, and they do one for screens.

Bijou Sun 09-Apr-23 11:57:14

I use a cloth with a spray made from white vinegar with a tiny drop of Fairy liquid that my help also uses for the windows. So much cheaper and just as good as all these expensive things. Also use for my spectacles.

BlueBelle Sun 09-Apr-23 11:53:46

I just use an ordinary cloth for all screens (damp very very slightly if needed) for tv, glasses, iPad, phone
I personally don’t think it needs special stuff and yes I m sure it will be banned or certainly should be as they are the same as wet wipes facial wipes etc

Sago Sun 09-Apr-23 11:51:05

I also keep an E cloth for my tv, it’s never used for anything else.
Screen wipes will eventually leave a film on the screen.

I use e-cloth glass cloths for TV, computer screen, phone etc. Just use with water. Excellent results and good for the environment.

I buy a box of Zeiss Len Wipes from Costco every so often and find them very effective for cleaning glasses and iPhone, iPad and computer screens. Of course, I realise one has to be or know a member of Costco to obtain them.

Scottiebear Sun 09-Apr-23 11:27:08

We bought product called ScreenClean long time ago at Costco. Liquid sprays with clothes to wipe. Came with large bottle and a smaller bottle that could be carried in handbag. Find it really good. Has lasted ages. Use on phones, tablets, computers, glasses. Don't know where else sells it but might be worth looking on internet.

I use an e-cloth on my TV 📺

DanniRae Wed 05-Apr-23 14:13:59

Oh I am so sorry. I didn't make it clear its for our tv screen.

ExDancer Wed 05-Apr-23 11:07:52

Do you want them for a car screen like Notspaghetti or a computer?

Caramme Wed 05-Apr-23 11:01:24

I have just bought these from the store you mention. I use them on my glasses, iPad and phone with good results. If you need them for a PC or laptop you’d probably need to use two. In that case a spray would be better value. I got a good one from my opticians.

Look at the reviews on Amazon, I am assuming that is what you meant, there will be more users on there.

NotSpaghetti Wed 05-Apr-23 10:28:44

I wonder if these will go the way of baby wipes?

I'm sorry I don't know which are best as I keep a cloth in the car for thus job.

DanniRae Wed 05-Apr-23 10:09:35

I need to buy some screen wipes ... so went on the site I always use for most things (starts with "A") but there were so many I was totally confused.
So please Gransnetters can you let me know which ones are best ... they don't have to be the cheapest ... just ones that do the job!
Thanks
