Buckingham Palace tour

I have been twice as birthday presents. It was very crowded in the rooms. Not sure about food don’t remember seeing any and it’s something I would usually notice. It was interesting to see but too crowded,

I first went when they decided to open up to raise funds to pay for Windsor Castle after the fire, the other time was before the pandemic and they had a special exhibition to commemorate the 200th anniversary of Queen Victoria’s birth. I also went to the exhibition at Kensington Palace. I don’t remember having any refreshments at BP. We had probably had a massive lunch!

There are catering facilities as described by others but I didn’t think much of them. Expensive and rather ordinary. I’ve been told that there’s an excellent afternoon tea at the nearby Rubens hotel but no idea what it might cost.

I have been twice now. Well worth the visit but the refreshments were poor. Paper plates and stale scones when I was there. I expected quality. Add the Royal Mews to your trip if you are interested in the coaches.

I saw that. Wasn’t it lovely and didn’t the young Queen have a tiny waist?

I'm really looking forward to seeing the various rooms and the lovely staircase. Kensington Palace wasn't really as good as I'd hoped but the views out of the windows were lovely on a nice summer's day

I’ve been a few times. It is worth a visit but can get very very crowded in the exhibition rooms. My favourite so far was the exhibition going back to 1947 of the Queens outstanding evening dresses. Absolutely exquisite. And loads of them. Noticeable how her shape change cover the years like us all although my waist was never so tiny as hers.

Thank you all. No, I haven't booked yet. I was booked in last year but it was the week the Queen died and so it was obviously cancelled. I visited Kensington Palace instead but I've always wanted to look inside Buckingham Palace.
I've tried googling but I couldn't seem to get an answer. Knew gransnet would know. I do love tea and cake.

I did it several years ago. Well worth it, took my dear old MiL she was so excited to go. I would definitely go again.
