Helpful online supermarket deliveries

Waitrose delivery people have always been very helpful and friendly. Their website says they will bring items into kitchen if you wish otherwise they bring in crates which I offload at the door into shopping bags. There os a delivery charge and I think it's now £4.

Morrisons deliver in strong brown paper bags. My deliverers ask if I need them brought in (first floor flat, own front door on ground level). Depending on who is delivering, I either cheerfully agree or cheerfully say thanks but I'm okay to do it. Bags go in the recycling bin.

Waitrose delivery driver always asks me if I want him to bring me delivery in to the house.

Ocado deliver in bags,they do charge for them but refund when you hand them back on your next delivery.
We usually ask the driver to put the bags on the doorstep but they usually offer to bring them in.

Yes, Ocado will do this. I have dodgy knees and usually ask my husband to take them in but Ocado are happy to do it if you ask. I don't think anybody would do it during lockdown, but I have an idea that Waitrose would do it now too.

Tesco don't deliver in bags but the drivers around here are brilliant and will offer to carry the trays into the kitchen & put them on the table, sometimes even helping unpack if it's a regular driver & we're having a chat!

Ocado still deliver in bags. They will take them back on the next delivery, if asked.👍

Thank goodness most Supermarkets no longer use those horrible plastic bags, which caused so many problems for wildlife. The dreadful ones use by Iceland are one of the main reasons I will have deliveries from them. Most use large crates. I live in a flat, and they bring those crates up to the front door of my flat, where I meet them with my wheeled shopping bag into which I put all the shopping. Then I just wheel that into my kitchen to unpack and put away.

Do not think I would like to have someone else try to put away my shopping - would cause me more problems than doing it myself trying to tell them exactly where to put everything. Once frozen stuff and fridge items are stored, the rest can be put away slowly.

I have mobility problems, so the Tesco delivery drivers bring the shopping into the kitchen, and hold the crates whilst I take the shopping out. They`re also very polite and friendly. No carrier bags anymore though.

We've had Tescos since the start of the pandemic. They've been fantastic. No carrier bags though and I've never asked them to bring the shopping in but I'm sure they would. I waited in for a grocery order for my daughter from Morrisons recently. Everything came in carrier bags.

Waitrose will bring shopping into the kitchen; it's in large green crates, and they will put the items on the worktop. I found them so helpful throughout the pandemic, so we carried on having deliveries.

I use Sainsbury's delivery but nothing is in bags anymore. Due to the anti plastic brigade. So have the delivery person put the container on my step and I put the shopping into bags to carry into my kitchen myself. Delivery people are always lovely.

Have found Tesco very obliging after my THR 13 weeks ago just pop trays on 2 kitchen chairs and Bobs your uncle all done.Hope all goes well like charley my front is very accessible.

i get iceland most weeks and they come in carrier bags into my kitchen, before people say, this weeks order had no frozen food in the delivery.

I've always found Tesco very good.

Tesco bring the trays into the kitchen and will take the goods out.
Iceland have rather huge bags, quite unwieldy.

I can tell you Tesco don’t deliver in bags anymore not even in special cases- our son autistic and OCD. My daughter has Sains and they put the trays of shopping on the kitchen work-top so she can unpack it without needing to bend down, which I imagine would be helpful to you.

Tesco have a bit in the online order where you can ask for the driver to bring your shopping into the house. I've often had my driver ask me if I'd like them to bring it in, even though I'm hale and hearty

I’ve heard some delivery drivers even put them in your fridge/ freezer for you, but I don’ t know which. I’m sure someone here knows.

Hope you make a speedy recovery! I’d ask the local supermarkets - they might ask their drivers to help though I do wonder if there’s insurance issues with that. Otherwise I believe Farm Foods (is that their name?) deliver frozen meals and put them in your freezer.
