Don¨t dry them in the dryer!

Are they 100% cotton?

If so try adding vinegar when you put the laundry soap in the machine.

Also, - just remembered my friend in America who washed new jeans and then tumbled with tennis balls.
She took them out and rolled them tight (like you would a sleeping bag going into a stuff-sack), tied them up with a (dressing gown) cord and let them cool for several hours. It seems to stretch and release the fibres.

... u less of course they are "old-style"

Remember leaving jeans overnight in vinegar/water and washing it out the next day?

What fibres are these please?
Doesn't sound like "true" cotton type denim...

I have a new pair of jeans which were described on line as soft and didn't seem too bad until I washed them. I washed them separately and on a low temperature incase of any dye transfer, put them in the tumble drier and they came out stiff and hard. I then rewashed them and line dried them - even worse.
Any suggestions how to soften them and make them more comfortable ?
