Hello! 👋
I hope this finds everyone well.

I’ve been having a bit of a break as I was spending too much time online.

I’ve missed you all, and I’m back. 🤗

It’s the 25 year anniversary of me and DH this year, and he would like to buy me a new ring.

I’d wear it on my wedding finger on its own, and all of the time, so comfort is of the essence.

I’ve found exactly what I’d like but can’t decide upon the stone.

I’d like to hear your thoughts
Thank you 😊

Lovely!
Can you give us some tips on how to keep your nails looking so elegant please?
Mine break and split.

This is probably a better picture on my other hand.
I am not ambidextrous in the least…

Hello!
I’m back! 👋
It arrived today and DH presented it to me 💕
I’m chuffed to bits with it.

Depends on your Birthday month. January is garnet, February is amethyst, March is aquamarine, April is diamond, May is emerald, June is alexandrite, July is ruby, August is peridot, September is sapphire, October is tourmaline, November is topaz, December is blue topaz.

Lovetopaint037 Sat 16-Sept-23 09:24:10

They are both lovely however I would pick the emerald as it is my favourite stone. Congratulations and enjoy your lovely ring.

Ziplok Fri 15-Sept-23 23:17:51

All I can suggest is that you try them all on and then you’ll be able to see which one suits you best.
They all look lovely from the pictures, but really, they need to be viewed “in the flesh” to get a true feel, I think.
Come back later and let us know which one (if any) you went for, or if you chose something completely different 😁.

I was told pearls mean tears, but then most brides used to wear them?

Any decision yet FC?

Dempie55 Fri 15-Sept-23 15:51:18

I love that ring - it's like medieval jewellery.
I would choose the blue stone.

Mainly because my mother told me emeralds brought bad luck to a marriage; this she backed up with various stories of people she had known who experienced Terrible Times because they had worn emeralds (and should have known better...)

SiobhanSharpe Fri 15-Sept-23 10:28:22

The sapphire stones look a beautiful colour, not too dark and they really stand out,
With the emeralds they too look a good colour but I would make sure they are not at all cloudy or dull, and also not on the pale side.
I think the amethyst doesn't look as 'good' ( expensive!) as the others or as classic - not so good for every day wear either.

Congratulations FannyCornforth. For me it would have to be either a sapphire or for preference a diamond. I have just bought myself a ring (can't show you a picture yet as its being sized for me) a Clogau (sorry to the Welsh if I have spelt this wrong) circlet. I was congratulating myself on having survived yet another of DH's house moves.
