I think, given that you have been told to keep the item, I'd keep it if I liked it and otherwise take to a charity shop or put on (say) freecycle.

If it's only the box that's huge, you can deconstruct that and put in the recycling.

I’m intrigued as to what was n the box!

Me too!

A diamond ring in a huge box?

Try 0800 279 7234. Amazon Customer Service number. I got through to a very helpful person when I called. I hope this number still works.

I too have this phone number in my address book. I just called it and it rang ..... so hopefully they can help you!

Yes, do what lemsip has suggested, it's only a small item and Amazon said I could keep the contents of the wrong delivery.

Have you got a Stanley knife? Cardboard is easy to cut with one of those and uses, as GSM says, get rid of the address label!

I contacted Amazon through my account and asked for a phone call.
My customer service agent called back almost immediately and was fantastic.

I'd just do that. Easy peasy (surprisingly)!

That’s what I’d do lemsip.

First remove and destroy the address label,

The problem is that the box is too big to fit into my car to take it to the recycling at the tip. It is enormous. I haven't anywhere to store it until the next recycling, a week come Thursday and they won't take wet cardboard. The household rubbish binmen won't take anything not in the bin. I will try that number tomorrow AgaA4.
I have gone round in circles on Amazon customer services trying to find the right place to sort this out. Their website seems to be designed so that if your problem doesn't fit neatly into one of their categories you will give up.

Cant you just throw it away if you dont want it.

Or just give it to a charity shop?

Make sure you are not charged for the item though, Mazgg

You need to go through the website process - customer services - and eventually it asks you if you want to speak to someone on the phone. I have always found them efficient and helpful - once you get through to them!

Not sure how you do this without an order number - unless you can find one on the packaging.

Who was the carrier who delivered it? I'm sure that will be somewhere on the address label or if you go into your orders on Amazon, the name of the delivery firm may possibly be on there. Contact them and tell them what has happened, and that they must know that you refused the wrongly delivered parcel in the first place so it should not have been redelivered and would they please come and pick it up.

If you get nowhere with that, can you cuit or tear the box down the sides, or pull off any sticky tape holdng it together, so that you can lay it flat. The rain may get it softer to tear up! Then it can be put out alongside your recycling bin.

An enormous box was delivered to me with a small item that I had not ordered and miles of brown paper. It had my name and address on. I refused delivery but next day it came back whilst I was out and was left outside.
The item I had ordered was replaced and they said I could keep the contents of the wrong delivery. It is enormous and I can not handle it. There is nothing inside that I would want. If it stays outside it will get soggy and even more difficult to get rid of.
I have tried to navigate their customer service department but go round in circles as I can not find anything relative to this situation. There doesn't seem to be a telephone option and the chat doesn't cope with this.
Any help would be gratefully received.
