Where can I buy trousers that don't slip down for larger man?

My husband has gradually been putting on weight around the middle - very common as we get older! He doesn't seem to be able to shift it but his main problem is finding trousers which don't slip down. I've suggested braces but he's not receptive to that idea. Belts don't seem to help much. He often wears joggers but sometimes needs "proper" trousers or jeans.

I think I've seen ads for trousers with some kind of non-slip waistband. Cotton Traders have a wide range with elasticated waists but I don't know which styles might suit. There must be other websites.

This must be a common problem so suggestions welcome from anyone who has found a solution! Thanks.

My husband had silk braces for a recent fancy wedding. He loved them so much he has bought some clip-on ones now! He hasn't worn a belt since.

Maybe his idea of braces puts him off but they are invisible in the winter under a jumper. I'd try to persuade him to try them whilst the weather is colder.

My OH is 2XL and wears Cotton Traders chinos, when he’s not in his joggers.

Chums sell formal trousers with elasticated waists.
Although I notice some of the models are also wearing belts.

Thanks for suggestions so far. I think I'll look for a nice pair of coloured braces for Christmas! He used to wear them sometimes so I'm not sure why he's averse to them now. To me it seems the obvious solution.

Farmor15 have a look at Etsy. I know this isn't the same but someone on there may make them for men. My grandson's are tall and skinny and there trousers and jeans fall down builders bum all the time. I found a site on Etsy which made adjustable belts and braces for children. Full adjustable belts. Ones that just went on to back threw the loops and ones that went ones that went just on each side . All adjustable using poppers. Don't know if this is of any use.

My late husband was slim but had his trouser waists altered to fit. He weight always stayed within half a stone .

Braces are now considered trendy for the older man.

If men have large stomachs they always have trouble with trousers.
