You used to be able to find firms that could make you a DVD of them if you wanted it.

If you just want rid of them, please do not put them in the bin, but phone your renovation company and ask how to recycle them.

Or contact the nearest hospice for the terminally ill - they may still have a video player and be delighted with the videos. As might a care home with many Alzheimer's patients who can often remember how to do the technicalogical things they learned when they were young, although newer things have slipped their minds entirely.

Can anything be done with old video cassettes?
I mean those old reel to reel ones, like a cassette music tape but the size of a paperback book.
I've been clearing out a big bookcase and they've been taking up a couple of shelves for year and years
I hate putting things in the bin so i'm hoping someone may know of a firm that recycles them or does something useful with them, like those people who recycle printer ink.
(We don't even have a machine to view them any more!
