I bought a flatbed Russell Hobs from Amazon. Very simple. easy to use even for me as I am partially sighted. The only frustration is the timing- it is every 39 seconds so reheating something for 3 minutes 40 seconds means my 800 watt goes to 4 minutes. So far so good. I have not had it long but it is simple to clean.

We bought our last one from Asda, about £60 with a 2 year warranty, we too only need simple functions. It’s three years old, no problems.

Our microwave is on its last legs, no wonder really as we bought it well before the children were born and the older one is now 36!

We got it from Iceland (I think), and it was an own brand. It's a touch screen, not a dial, and is very simple - 5 power levels plus defrost, and is quite big - 28 litres by our calculation. I want to replace it with similar, we don't use it much for cooking - mainly defrosting, reheating, and cooking veggies. I don't want one with bells and whistles and automatic programs. But all the simple ones I can find are too small and/or have dials.

This is the closest to what I want:

Has anyone got this one? Or could anyone recommend something similar?

Please and thank you in anticipation!
