Fridge magnets

I only had a few fridge magnets but in a kitchen they get dirty if not taken off and cleaned frequently. Never again. I don’t invite housework.

Will they stick on the inside of the garage door? The garage is where DH keeps his running medals now, nailed on the rafters. Made me soooo happy

I love my fridge magnets and I would miss them. Many happy memories of where we have visited. Now my grown up grandchildren buy one for me when they travel

I kept mine for a while when I had a new appliance then the ones I like best gradually found their own way back on to the freezer 😁

Can they be recycled in the interests of decluttering.

That’s more or less what my DH said.🤣🤣

I solved this problem by buying magnetic paint and applying it to an alcove in the kitchen. I painted over it to match the wall colour and then made a display of my magnets. I like to be reminded of where I have been.

Snap, Poppyred!😁

You can get magnetic white boards. DD has one in her kitchen that has photos, fridge magnets, all manner of odds and sods on it as well as the usual reminders and lists. If I had room in my kitchen I would have one. My fridge door is getting very crowded!

You can buy a white magnetic board from IKEA to display your magnets.

We had one. Our GC love to sing along and move it along the (unseen) side of the fridge. Became lost, if you found it please send it along to us.

Give them to DGC

Yes! The parents will be so grateful! 🤣

I'd just put them in a tin.
Little ones can then use the lid to arrange/rearrange them.

Mollygo Tue 06-Feb-24 14:03:34

I have these from all over the world, but I really don’t want to put them back on my new appliance. I do like them for the memories they bring, and my younger DGC like to look, rearrange and ask about them.
Any suggestions for keeping them? (DH suggested the bin).
