PIP renewal

That's great advice thank you everyone. I am waiting for an operation on my right hand so my writing is terrible and I was dreading have to fill in that tedious form but I will ask can it be done on the phone.

Gillycats it is worth getting help with your appeal. Most are successful and they warn you if they are planning to reduce your points score so you can discontinue your appeal.
Elless it is surprising they didn’t send a review form but there is such a backlog that I think they are trying to avoid forms and just do a phone call but they should give you advance notice of it. Worth ringing. DWP should extend your award if they have not managed to do the review before your claim ends.

When I was contacted I told them my symptoms were worse (genuinely!). I had to go to Reading which was an hours drive for an interview. Again I explained how things had deteriorated for me. It seemed to go well but 3 weeks later they told me I was to lose £200pm! I won’t appeal for fear that it will drop further and in future, should my condition deteriorate even more, I will just say that things are the same.

My last renewal was done beginning of last year. I only received a letter informing me when it would be done, no form. It was done over the phone. A really nice lady called & really just had a long chat about my health and any changes. I have a speech problem so was dreading the call but she was so patient with me.
She extended my pip until 2027 & increased the mobility award a little bit.
