White labels

Some birthday cards have coloured envelopes which makes seeing the written address difficult.
A white label is a good idea.

I keep 20 labels in my handbag, to stick on forms/invoices etc etc when out.

It is all very well to say jut write it, but I have dyspraxia, my handwriting is excrable despite aa life time of trying to make it better and it stops any confusion about post codes, or road names.

Ryman sell them, I’ve found they are good for computer stationery.

I buy mine at a stationery shop in town but now I’ll look up on line-saves petrol and parking.
My Christmas list is in a spreadsheet so I just link it to a label layout in Word and press go. It saves so much time.
Like Callistemon213 I then add a Christmas motif.
The sad side is when I have to remove names from the spreadsheet.

Have you looked on eBay? There are sellers who print sheets of address labels. I’ve just had a look and one example has 18 labels per sheet x 20 sheets for £9.79! They have other options of sizes and number of sheets.

So much easier to use a label printer than writing an address. I have all my addresses saved so I can just print them off. I also decorate them at Christmas on a template. Makes writing cards a doddle and saves having a list.

NanKate

Thanks for the suggestions. Between us we send out many cards and letters during the year, many of them to the same people and it is much quicker and clearer for the post office to have printed labels.

I type addresses using the labels template in Word.

Mostly they're labels for Christmas cards and I add a Christmassy motif; they're also an aide-memoire.

It's easy to right on the label and for 200 for £1 it's worth the effort.

Whiff

Just looked it up on the Works 200 for £1.

These are just plain white labels though - not with the address printed on 😀

NanKate Thu 11-Jul-24 21:39:26

Yes Whiff is always helpful. I know her well from another thread 👍

Some people with bad arthritis or other hand problems find writing difficult, this may be the case for the OP

Germanshepherdsmum Thu 11-Jul-24 20:23:32

Absolutely BlueBelle. If you are able to write, why on earth spend money on labels?

Ladyleftfieldlover Thu 11-Jul-24 17:29:28

560 labels for £17.96
These are Avis labels from Amazon.

I never, ever write addresses by hand! I always use labels. My writing is appalling.

I buy my labels from Amazon - as above. There are 14 labels on an A4 sheet.

Just write your name and address takes a minute and costs nothing

Do you mean ones you have had your address printed on?

NanKate Thu 11-Jul-24 17:10:52

We have just finished a large box of white labels which we use on letters and cards. On looking up online a replacement box is over £100 😳

Do you know anywhere we can purchase say 10 - 20 pages of labels ?

Thanks.
