Good morning everyone i have very painful feet and also a hammer toe. Pain and burning sensation on the sole of my feet too.
Can anyone recommend cushion soled comfortable footwear please.

I bought Sole Bliss for my son's recent wedding.
They are too formal for everyday wear (for me) but very smart and also comfortable.
Even so I did try three styles before I found "the ones"! I

I really don't think they are on trend - but they aren't "old lady styles".

They do trainers and that seems to be what girls/women are wearing with summer dresses, trousers etc

I thought they looked”on trend” or fashionable for older ladies.
I personally am not ready for Hotter shoes yet and not keen on Skechers. Like Isaid, I don’t wear Sole Bliss either.

Camper ankle boots are super comfortable.. or sketchers

I read an article about a firm called Sole Bliss. They are a huge favourite with QueenCamilla, Dame Judi Dench, joanna Lumley, Helen Mirren etc. They are not cheap but apparently supremely comfy and on trend.

I haven’t got personal experience because luckily my feet are problem free but ladies on here might be interested.

I do hope you find something suitable Madwoman11.

I have some Ecco and Fitflop. Both accommodate my hammer toes. Both have support and are comfortable.

My walking boots were Ecco in the days when I wasn't needing a new hip!

Thank you for suggesting Vionic cornergran - I'm crossing my fingers for their sandals.

I have wide feet with high insteps, one smallish bunion and a couple of hammer toes. I have two pairs of Hotter trainer-style shoes with laces and zips. The first pair had insoles that didn't suit me, so I got some memory foam ones which are perfect. The second pair have better insoles! I love these shoes and am contemplating getting a third pair - for best!

Sketchers are comfortable but do not give any support. Clarks Trigenic are similar and wearing those triggered plantar fascitis.

I mostly wear Hotter trainer style shoes. Ecco do similar shoes but they are more expensive. Clarks sometimes have lace ups that are comfortable. All these have thick soles which I need for arthritis and plantar fascitis.
I cannot wear slip on shoes, sandals, boots or slippers.

My very experienced podiatrist does not recommend sketchers.
They may be comfortable but give no support which does lead to problems.

Another vote for sketchers! I have several pairs of their trainers, and also this year have purchased two pairs of their open sandals.

Many thanks everyone. Much appreciated.

Skechers, Reiker or Vionic suit my feet the best - pronounced bunion on one foot and hammer toes on both which I’ve had since birth. Reiker have sandals in their ranges, not sure about style though. I do also have a pair of Clarks leather trainers that are incredibly comfortable if incredibly old. Pavers own brand rarely suit me as I sit between two of their sizes.

I think it’s a case of try as many brands as possible and take a long while to decide if they suit. Shop assistants get tired of me as I insist on keeping potential shoes on for ages while wandering around the store.

Good luck madwomanII painful feet can make life miserable.

I've high arches and pf.

I comfortably wear Merrell, Mephisto, Seibel, and Birks.

NotSpaghetti Wed 24-Jul-24 16:58:55

Thank you SandElf I do like those but they don't adjust over the toes... I'll maybe read some reviews first - as I do need a deep toe box if they won't adjust.

NotSpaghetti Wed 24-Jul-24 16:51:37

Thank you Patsy70 - I have had a look but they don't seem to have leather adjustable ones.
Good idea to look though.

I found that Sketchers didn’t give my feet enough support. I buy Widerfit Shoes online. They are a little wider and deeper than high street shoes and come in a variety of styles.

sandelf Wed 24-Jul-24 16:18:54

NotSpaghetti - I've a pair of Keen sandals that are the biz for walking - velcro fasten, toes covered, very good sole. Not girly smart. Called 'Rose' www.sportsshoes.com/product/kee351/keen-rose-women's-walking-sandal---aw24?_cur=GBP&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwzIK1BhAuEiwAHQmU3oRd5V9ZhcsuC-Ms_DD4issaazhFx6kTOUDzeLn8mTqW4zDdSdBtURoCnJUQAvD_BwE

Another vote for Skechers! I have several pairs in various styles and love them!
I've also bought Pavers, when I needed something more stylish for a wedding. They have some nice sandals with low/medium heels that I found comfortable enough to wear for the day.
Also, I've tried Vivaia, which you can order online (not sure whether they sell in shops yet?). They aren't cheap, but they do have some very nice shoes and sandals, particularly if you need something smart for a nice event. As well as flats and trainers.
They have well cushioned insoles, and the material they are made from has a lot of 'give' in it, quite stretchy.

Patsy70 Wed 24-Jul-24 16:03:21

They do wide fitting shoes, but I can’t recall them measuring your feet.

NanKate Wed 24-Jul-24 15:50:54

I have found a local Skechers shop and will go and try some on tomorrow. Do any of you take a wide fitting ? I am not sure if I will need wide. Do they measure your feet like they did in the ‘olden’ days ?

Philippa111 Wed 24-Jul-24 13:21:56

I have trouble finding shoes as well. I have several pairs of Clarks Trigenics , which are really comfortable and nice enough to wear to events , but they make less variety now.

Recently, in desperation, I bought a pair of memory foam insoled, slip on, fabric shoes from Primark... £9!! At that price I was willing to give them a try. All man made and therefore vegan. They are very comfortable, like slippers. Don't look too bad and good for around the house and short trips. My daughter thinks they look a bit cheap! They were!

SpanielCuddler Wed 24-Jul-24 13:05:38

Pavers have further reductions in their sale atm. Worth a look.

Casdon Wed 24-Jul-24 10:37:26

I’ve got a bunion, and find Skechers don’t suit my feet, as they don’t have enough support my foot over-pronates in them, which makes it ache. I’ve recently bought some Calla trainers, which are really supportive and comfortable, they are soft but a lot more supportive. They also have a good advice line to make sure you choose a style with the right width and shape for your foot.

henetha Wed 24-Jul-24 10:26:07

I wear Pavers, which I think are the same as Sketchers?
I won't wear any other shoes now as I find them so comfortable.
