Goodness, those boobs. They are a bit far apart aren't they?

Did anyone else notice how the front seam of the trousers is skewed? There's something under there methinks.

Scribbles perhaps you are totally unaware that most transgender people do not have a GRC. There is no compulsion to take hormones and many don't, and the vast majority of transwomen (note they're always the transgender people mentioned, transmen hardly get a mention) opt to keep their penis and testicles. Some opt to keep their beards too. Alex Drummond a celebrated transwoman psychotherapist doesn't take hormones, sports a full beard, will never have surgery but declares himself a lesbian because he's partnered with a biological woman.

always a pressure to be more female a transwoman can't be 'more female' they are male, no amount of hormones or surgery can change them into a female.

So, perhaps be a bit kinder to those French torch carriers. Perhaps they haven't yet made the complete transition; are still experimenting with their new identity and trying to discover how to live comfortably with themselves and everyone else. those torch carriers were drag queens, not transwomen. Drag queens aren't in the early stages of transition. Did you see the photos? Drag is womanface and is an insulting parody of women in the same way the Black and White minstrels were blackface and an insulting parody of black people.

When your friend goes to the shop, do they use superior strength to push to the front of the queue, making sure that women who have been waiting do not get served. That would be the equivalent to these men winning races.

Following on from what I said above- yes, I do think there needs to be a third, Trans category for any sporting contest.

I was glad to see men's spaces go and unless there is a very very good reason I am willing to see women's spaces go as well.

Me, too. In this world of troubles, we're all human and should be celebrating what unites us rather than artificial divisions.
Trans people are not all dangerous, deluded rapists but, unfortunately, a relatively few tragic assaults and lurid headlines have brought all the ordinary, decent, hardworking trans women, who just want to get on with their lives in their new persona, into disrepute.
It is no easy thing to change gender. Years of hormone therapy, psychotherapy, multiple and painful surgeries - often being rejected by close family or old friends who simply don't understand. No wonder a significant number fall prey to depression and other mental illness.
And when it's done, when the longed-for gender recognition certificate is in your hand, it's not over. Always, there are the sideways looks, the snarky muttered comments - sometimes not muttered; always a pressure to be more female or feminine than every other woman in the room.

If I want to slouch to the corner shop in an old teeshirt and joggers, nobody thinks twice about it or wonders if I'm really a bloke. My (fully transitioned) transgender friend feels she can't go without a careful makeup job, her nails done and paying careful attention to her gait and stance because she really, really wants to be accepted as a woman in her "new" body.

So, perhaps be a bit kinder to those French torch carriers. Perhaps they haven't yet made the complete transition; are still experimenting with their new identity and trying to discover how to live comfortably with themselves and everyone else.

It’s about men becoming women to dominate our space.
It is sinister and wrong on every level.

Well we do have to admit that we did take over their space back in the 60's. When there were men only rooms in some of the pubs and work was a man's space. I was glad to see men's spaces go and unless there is a very very good reason I am willing to see women's spaces go as well.

I totally agree and I think they are doing it because they cannot win as men in their own sport as they are not good enough so they become 'women' to win in women's sport.

Absolutly disgusting.

In sport where muscle and size matter then men should not be allowed to compete as women as even if they have reduced their testosterone level down to that of a women they have still have many years growing as a man and therefore have an advantage. In a sport like chess then I do not see why it has to be divided and see it as an insult to women that they think it needs to be.

You are aware there are still men only clubs, golf clubs who prioritise the male members etc?
What in your opinion is a very, very good reason to have spaces set aside for females? Do toilets, communal changing rooms and showers, hospital areas, rape crisis centres, refuges for abused women count?
Why shouldn't women be able to say they want to be able to hold women (aka female) only clubs and events?
I am willing to see women's spaces go as well. you may be, but many, many women are not. You can't consent on their behalf to see those spaces go.

For such a tiny minority of a minority group these transwoman aka men seem to get everything they want at the expense of women.

It’s amazing and horrifying isn’t it🤬

SueDonim Fri 26-Jul-24 16:02:08

Ugh, men doing ‘woman-face’ and thinking they do it better than actual, real woman. angry

Three different drag queens carried the torch at different times on the route to Paris.

Good lord, what the hell is that?
Was all that clownish make-up necessary, and who wears heels to go running, not to mention what on earth the boobs are doing going East and West?!
What a state!!

2oaktrees Fri 26-Jul-24 11:18:43

JK on Talk asked why don't they trans only teams. No one applied.

It’s certainly an interesting picture.
My opinion is that trans women should not be allowed to compete in women’s sports.

eazybee Fri 26-Jul-24 07:53:21

The person aka 'drag queen ' in the second picture is an obscenity.

I too think I've completely missed something here!

CanadianGran Thu 25-Jul-24 20:49:11

Can you clarify... which drag person has been chosen, from which country?

Shelflife Thu 25-Jul-24 18:53:15

There seems to be an undercurrent of evil that is out to displace women - I am sick of it !!!!! I have no problem acknowledging the genuine trans community but this is some different and it's dangerous!

Stansgran Thu 25-Jul-24 18:14:26

Sorry men in drag

Stansgran Thu 25-Jul-24 18:13:40

A man rapes a 12 year old and yet he can enter the Olympics with out disgrace because’ he has served his sentence’. The child has a life sentence.
Women used to be carrying the Olympic torch in Paris. Now they have been replaced by obscene parodies of womanhood( women in drag).men can identify as a women and yet father children but are accepted as gold medalists in women’s races.
I’m not asking about the disgraceful behaviour of desperate criminals who want an easy life in a women’s jail I’m talking about ordinary women who have healthy ambitions to win gold in sport or perhaps become business woman of the year. I love my daughters and granddaughters but what a world I have given birth into to for them.
