Yes - my DDs often break out singing ‘The Laxey Wheel’.
We thoroughly enjoyed it and my Dad loved going to the TT Races.

Regularly since the 70s. You need the right clothing, one day can contain many weather variations, the furniture time I went, in July, I had to go out and buy warm clothing.

The island is beautiful, but keep away from Douglas, I find it run down and depressing. The fishing ports in the south are lovely, Port St.Mary and Port Erin, which has a steam train in season running to Douglas. From Douglas you can take a trip on an open tram car to the north, it has spectacular scenery.

Yes, several times as one of my oldest friends is Manx and has lived there all her life.

It’s a lovely island as long as the weather is cooperating! I remember one week I’d gone and it rained non stop and was incredibly windy.

Many years ago, we stayed in Douglas.

Lovely people, delicious food and pretty countryside.

Yes, a five day break. Lots to see and do. Variety of transport. Places of historical interest. Beautiful coastline. Loved it.
