I convert mine to pizza express vouchers, not so good now it's 2 for 1 used to be 4 for 1 in the beginning

In the past I have tended to save tesco vouchers and use them for christmas food. Now a widow and living alone I thought despite their value going down from +3 to +2 worth I would look at some of the partner deals. What a monumental hassle it all is!! There is no simple choose a hotel ,use vouchers etc and have looked through a lot of different things., and they all seem to be set up in the most complicated way possible. Having read some of the reviews I am not the only person who thinks this. Do they hope you will be put off by the palaver and only use the vouchers in Tesco? I will definitely make sure to use mine, but if Tesco think that they get good will from customers , the way this is organised certainly does not help to promote good feelings.

I’ve never had a problem using mine. I bought a railcard a couple of weeks ago and it was all very straightforward.
Also glassware?
Still got lots of glassware! Was it Esso?
Barclays points, Green Shield stamps etc.
Stoneware plates from Somerfield (or was it Gateway at that time?)
Loyalty schemes are not new. Does anyone remember collecting Matchbox cars from National petrol? Also glassware?
My mum would joke that if you said 'petrol' too loud near the glass cabinet all the glassware would break!!
Then there were saucepan sets, cutlery sets and dinner services to be collected at different times in the supermarkets.
Also Green Shield stamps from the Co-op. It was my job to stick them in the books. I can remember going with mum to redeem the full books for cash at the customer service desk in the big Co-op in town, then spending that money on new school uniform on the next floor down!
I have a set of cutlery my mum collected from a supermarket loyalty scheme. They never had much money and my dad (a skilled DIYer) made a canteen box out of wood saved from an old wardrobe. It is lined with green felt and all the compartments are there. The wood is French polished to a dark high sheen. They very proudly gave it to my second husband and I as a wedding present.
We both dislike it as it is not our style, but I'll never get rid of it because of the sentiment and hard work behind it.
I've always tried to get the maximum value from my Tesco vouchers. I agree it can be a bit of a faff, but once you get used to it doesn't seem so bad.
I save mine until I have three years worth and then redeem them with the partners on something I wouldn't otherwise buy for myself.
Over the years they have paid for a Tassimo coffee maker, a caravan stay on the Isle of Wight and a full Denby dinner service (collected over six years!!).
This year with three years banked I wanted to redeem them in full but didn't have enough time to search for something.
Instead I used £30 of my oldest vouchers to get £90 off (the maximum allowed) on a three night stay in a lodge in the New Forest. This is during the February half term and is a joint Xmas pressie for my daughter and her family to enable them to visit Peppa Pig World in Paultons Park.
I'll hang on to the ones I still have until I top them up with next years vouchers.

Oh I so agree. I almost gave up using my clubcard when I was issued with a new one. The palaver of trying to get onto the website with the new card was ridiculous - the amount of security hoops I had to jump through was more akin to trying to launder hundreds of thousands of pounds made through South American drug cartels rather than trying to access my £20 worth of vouchers!
It is not as bad as Asda with their "missions". At least with Tesco and Nectar at Sainsbury you get points on almost everything you buy. There is a free phone number for Tesco, give them a call and they will explain, they are very helpful.
Don't know how but some customers have had their tesco points stolen from scammers !!!!!!! So inform Tesco ASAP
Tesco is our only major supermarket here so I do the majority of my shopping there.
I collect the vouchers and use them to pay for a hotel at the airport if we have an early morning flight. That has saved us up to £150.
I think that’s good value.
Never spend enough at Tesco to get more than 2.50 back. Only buy branded goods from them,. Do not trust their sources of fresh, I use Sainsbury in the main because I trust them and Nectar offers.
I had my tesco points stolen once and they were refunded. I usually use mine for my home delivery subscription but have had lots of other stuff as well. Not had a look recently but disney sounds like an idea.

It's not just Tesco.
I do most of my grocery shopping by getting deliveries from Asda. It keeps going on about its "Rewards" and telling me to download the app. I ignored it for ages - but Christmas and rising prices made me think again so I decided to have a go as it said I could use it online.
So I hit the button and a box appeared with 2 descriptions of my mobile phone ... I think one was my old phone and then my new one ( same make) which I got last July. As I was only intending to use it online I didn't know why it was doing this, or how it had got the information about my phone!
So I gave in and GAVE UP!!
And what on earth is a cashpot?!!
And what on earth is a cashpot?!!
... it's that receptacle on the mantlepiece that our mothers / grandmothers used for the rent-money or the "electric" and which they sometimes raided if things were a bit tight towards the end of the week
.
I was curious, so I Googled.
... you need to choose from their 'Star' product or 'Super Star' product range - in '22, you could've earned a £2.50 Cashpot credit for purchasing a mega pack of Andrex loo paper!

Then there are Missions...
It's impossible to decide the best loyalty schemes as each will probably change from week to week, depending on various factors like the size of your shopping bill and the type of products you buy.
We think competition works well under Capitalism because businesses will have to compete on price which, we're told, will keep them low.
If businesses did compete on price alone - it would work well - but no business wants to keep under-cutting its rivals in a race to the bottom! So, low and behold, loyalty schemes allow them to manipulate prices to keep their share of the market. And, as you can't compare like-for-like, you might as well choose the supermarket which is the closest to you or, if online shopping, the one that stocks the most of the products you like.
Back in the late '40s, my grandmother used to send me to the grocery shop with a list of items - and the price written against each item, as she kept them in her head! We'll never be able to do that again...
I've used Tesco vouchers for National Express coaches and more recently the Museums in Portsmouth . No problems but I do remember when you could use the vouchers in store at 4 x the value for electrical kettles and toasters etc. no longer the case

I’ve never figured out how to use vouchers either. I live overseas & they are always out of date when I get home 😡
You cannot get the Tesco App on an overseas phone - any ideas ? Seems such a waste of
I think, but am not 100% sure, that Tesco Clubcard have 'access' to fairly recently expired vouchers - about 6 weeks after expiry according to what I read, so if they are in that category, it might be worth calling them to check if they can reinstate them.
... or come home more frequently
.
They are great for Railcards! Very easy to redeem. They are also great for eating out.
Labadi0747, get someone you trust in this country to have the app for you.

I swapped them for £20 of hotel vouchers and somehow when trying to redeem the system 'lost' them.I reprted it to tesco but it never got resolved so lost £ 20 worth if i'd used on tesco at least i'd have had money off a shop.🤨

Last year I started a Boots online shop before Christmas. There was a special offer on a gift set on Clinique or Clarins (one of them) if you purchased an item but when I clicked on the link for the gift set, everything just disappeared from my basket.
Hmm...
I really don't think it's worth the hassle.
Sorcery.
Used the vouchers for years mainly for dining out.
I used to phone the helpline to change points to vouchers but now do it all on line.
I find it quite easy when you get used to it.

I don't shop instore in Tesco much and tend to just use the vouchers when I (very occasionally) do an online shop there as it is simple. We buy all our petrol from our local Tesco but don't seem to get as many vouchers now.
I agree with others about Waitrose, I rarely get the emails about weekly product vouchers and don't use any other benefits. M&S "Sparks" and the JL schemes seem like a total waste of time. Boots is still the best as far as I'm concerned, lots of 2 for 3 offers on things I buy and regular extra points for spending. However I gather they have finacial problems so perhaps they are giving us too much!Boots are terrible too!
I have nearly £20 in points but can't use them against an online shop, only if the cost is the exact amount.
I can, however, use them in store if I manage to get there.
M&S offer nothing at all except that I am reassured that money has been donated to charities of my choice because I used my Sparks card.I have nearly £20 in points but can't use them against an online shop, only if the cost is the exact amount.

Oh, Boots are the pits.
I tried to find something in-store to match the exact amount of the points. But couldn't find anything I wanted.
... and you cannot choose an item over the points amount and pay the additional cost, either.
What they will allow you to do is choose an item below the points-sum, and use up all your points on that - with no reimbursement of points or money.
I don't bother with Boots now.

I did persevere and try again without clicking that link.
This year, I started to shop online with Boots and it was just hopeless again.

Tizliz- thankyou.
I used the link to find out I could get £3 off a senior railcard costing £30.
Then I clicked on my account to find I have no vouchers, so I still don't know how people manage to go on holidays and things with their Tesco vouchers. I shop at Tesco all the time and always use my clubcard- what am I doing wrong?
Once you have chosen what you want to buy, go to exchange vouchers and there will be a list of all your vouchers. Tick the ones you wish to use until you have paid for your purchase. You quickly get an email confirming your exchange with the code shown which you show instead of payment when you them. I have used them ever since the were launched and never experienced any problems. We have stayed in hotels, but mostly use for their Italian restaurants. We like them all. I often used them when I entertain a friend as it cut the cost down tremendously. We went to Clarks Village last week and I used them at Prezzo there. Lovely meal for two of us, which would have set me back £ 65. You cannot use the vouchers for drinks nor tips and no special offers only the basic menu. If you tell them you are using vouchers you cannot go wrong. You will see people all around you in a participating restaurant doing the same. Lovely treat.

We have used our vouchers from Tesco to pay for cross channel ferries and the tunnel for years. Always saves a fortune!
