Hi I'm in need of a really good supportive sports bra
One to lift them off the floor and that will allow me to move fast without the threat of being assaulted by the ladies jumping up and down and giving myself black eyes. Must be easy to put on. Omg some of the ones I've seen online look online today look like a crytom factor game challenge. What are your suggestions ladies pls.

Miss Mary of Sweden. Expensive but comfy.

I second Miss Mary of Sweden.

My advice is to avoid M&S - they seem to be intended for athletic models. The one I bought (labelled Extra Large) would only just fit on my (normal sized) teddy bear!

Stressednana you and nongrannymoll have cheer me up thank you . Your posts made me laugh. I have never been big in the boob department. I lie flat and mine disappear.

Never heard of Miss Mary but now realise why - zero bras in 36I-cup - their highest cup size - and really I'm a 34K, and no, I am not overweight. Added to that I am only 5 foot 3 and now feel like an even greater freak!

Shock Absorber sports bra's have specific impact levels depending on the activity being worn for.

Same here. They don’t stretch to my 34G…

They do Georgieporgie but I've yet to find one that's easy to get on! grin

I wear Elomi 36H -it’s a game changer for me. No more sore shoulders either. I find it’s expensive but you get what you pay for.

I have never understood about sports bras. They need to be comfortable so you can move freely but by the same token I don't see how they can offer much support. Ones I've seen on models in shops look a bit pointless to me.

Shock absorber sports bras are the best ..

Psalmody Sat 25-Jan-25 11:52:59

Snag do wonderful bras ( and tights ) to fit any size especially larger sizes.

NotSpaghetti Sat 25-Jan-25 13:31:11

I have looked at "Snag" bras but the profile/ silhouette just looks too unstructured for me.
I don't think they'd be safe as sportswear if you had a fuller bust!
grin

Snag are definitely not sports bras

FranA Sat 25-Jan-25 16:27:19

Another vote for Shock Absorber.

Freya sonic moulded sports bra. Moved by ladies up at least 2 inches. Found them in John Lewis

M&S sports bras in large sizes are comfortable

NotSpaghetti Mon 27-Jan-25 00:11:00

Madgran77 unless they have changed recently the M&S sports bras don't have larger cup sizes, unfortunately.

I find Panache underwired the best. Nothing moves!

STRESSEDNANA Wed 26-Mar-25 22:33:23

Problem is I need one that's got seamless design as after only an hour of wearing the lovely lacy ones I feel like I've been dragging my ripples in sand paper. Also definitely not underwire. I'm looking for size 42 or 44 E I reckon pls

I’ve lost a lot of weight in hospital and I’m still losing it now I’m home, despite eating lots. I think I must be burning up more energy.

Anyway, I’ve had to throw all my bras away as they no longer fit. I can’t get to a shop for a proper fitting at the moment, the nearest is in Liverpool and there’s no chance!

I need a non-wired bra with no fiddly fastenings that I can either pull up or over my head. I’ve found a lovely one on the
Bravissimo website, I am either a 34E or 36D so will double check that later before I order, but it doesn’t look as though any of the bargain brands are going to be suitable.

I’ve got two m & s sports bras and I’m a 34E and they’re fine . Apart from having to be a contortionist to put them on.

Blossoming Sun 27-Apr-25 21:39:07

I decided on the Cora bralette from Bravissimo and received it just before they were affected by the cyber attack that has meant I can’t order anything from M&S at the moment. I went with the 34E, I just fasten the back on the loosest hook, step into it and pull it up. Perfect fit and very pretty 😊
