Car insurance

Look back through old threads Apple10 - there was a long one at the end of last year on car insurance and the increase in prices, often doubled.
I’m dumbstruck to find my insurance has gone down £15 this time, but it was hiked a ridiculous amount last time.

York Lady is right - do a comparison, then make a choice. There are so many conditions and criteria to be met and questions to answer these days.

We have used the NFU for house and car insurance for years. They give a loyalty bonus on renewal. However I think they only tend to be interested if you live in a fairly rural area. Worth a try I would say.

Not all insurers appear on comparison websites.

DH and I have our cars insured with LV. We’re very happy with the quotes in comparison with other companies and they looked after me very well last year when my car and I had an argument with a post!

Don’t talk about Car Insurance. I’m paying double what I paid last year !

I agree, try a comparison website first, as they will find quotes that meet your particular needs.

I have just renewed with Tesco, as the quote was £7 cheaper than I paid last year. Unheard of! Before that Direct Line, who were good until they almost doubled the renewal a couple of years ago, and couldn't come even close to Tesco's quote.

Use a comparison website first and input your details. If you find one that’s suitable for your needs, call them.
We can’t help as there are so many questions that we would need answers to first.

Please can any Gran recommend a good and reasonable Car Insurance Company to deal with?
