Hi everyone
I'm sure this has been discussed previously, but
I'm not sure where to look...
I have a male relative's 40th birthday coming up. and a friend's 70th (not an old 70 at all). Can anyone please suggest any gifts for these 2 people. I'm trying to stay away from predictable or useless things, so am really struggling. Many thanks

Do you have any idea of what they enjoy doing?
Perhaps a theatre token or an experience day might be something they would like but would hesitate to buy it for themselves.

For both, I suggest that experiences would probably be more appreciated than physical gifts.
For the 40 year old a token for 2 for a good ( modern ) restaurant, or perhaps an adventure day might suit.
For the seventy year old - well what
would any of us like? Maybe a voucher for a massage, a book token, a restaurant voucher or theatre
tickets for 2? Those are gifts I enjoy, anyway.

Hi. You haven't mentioned budget and so my suggestion is for a cheaper present particularly for the 70 year old. My MIL, Aunt and me as well love to receive a magazine subscription. Recently titles like Woman and Home, Okay, Hello etc etc were offering 6 months for £6 and they contact you before the end of the 6 months and if you say you don't want to renew for another 6 months they offer you another deal so it's a huge saving on a 12 month subscription.

Its my friend's 71st birthday this week, she's requested Lego set from family so I've bought her a Lego vouchers. It's very popular with adults

Just a thought
