You must also consider the height. You are not getting any younger, and a low bed is not a good idea when you may need a hip replacement in a few years.

Mattresses are a nightmare. I decided to go with memory foam, and so far, I have not regretted it, especially as it retains heat for my cold body to enjoy.

We have just bought a bed. We went to Dream Worlds where they get you to lie down on an electronically controlled bed the rumbles around changing to fit you and delivers a guidance to the best range for you. We ended up in J Lewis and after bouncing on many mattresses ( we also did not want a memory foam one) chose one but took out an insurance giving us the option to change if the mattress did not suit us. We ended up with a natural fibre sprung medium one which is OK but have had to put a thick topper as my OH was getting a sore hip. We are all different and I wish we had gone for the type where you can have within one mattress, differences of softness etc.

Looking to buy a new king size bed.
Seen a lovely conventional spring mattress divan, but am looking at adjustable electric beds too.
I don’t want a tempur mattress.
Has anyone got,one and if so would you recommend.
