I could have written you post. I too love French mustard and ONLY French mustard.

DP got fed up with me mosning every time we had beef of any kind, so ordered 6 jars on Amazon. Yes, they cost far more than I would have been prepared to pay but I certainly wasn't going to send them back!

Thanks for all the suggestions tellingvus where to buy it but we don't have a Waitrise, Aldi, or Asda in our town. The nearest town with any of these is 26 winding road miles away!

I love French mustard, but can eat English that is thinly spread.

The photo hasn’t appeared - 185g for 60p in Asda, 180g for £1 in Waitrose. Make sure to take your MyWaitrose card and a reusable beaker for a free self service coffee, monthly magazine, and the free weekly paper if you shop on Friday or early Saturday morning, my branch runs out by 10am.

I’m closer to Waitrose than to an Asda but they really do take the mickey with their prices!

Mt61 thank you.

Try farm foods, or homebargains. Sometimes when a brand is going out of stock, they will buy up stock. You could try tkmaxx, they have odd jars of fancy sauces 😊

So it's not just me then!
This has been on my online shopping list for the past 3 weeks, to no avail.
Why just the french version, do you suppose?

Forgot to say it's their own brands .

ViceVersa

Waitrose and Asda both sell a French mustard which looks very much like the Colman's one you are talking about. You do still seem to be able to buy the Colman's variety, but I could only find giant catering sized jars.

Oooo ViceVersa! A trip to Waitrose/Asda is definitely on the cards now! Thanks.

Help! I LOVE French mustard and it's no longer on the shelves, although I have seen catering sized jars on the internet. I am referring to the BROWN mustard, smooth no seeds, not Dijon, previously made by Colemans (hope that's allowed to say). Can anyone direct me to a shop that sells it in UK please? Steak is no longer the same!

Waitrose and Asda sell it but you'd need to check if it's in stock .

Can’t stand French mustard love the hot old English stuff but a few weeks ago I couldn’t find the English version anywhere only the French I think it must depend on stocks coming through

I much prefer French to English mustard. German mustard is nice too. English makes my eyes water.
You might try online if you have a brand name. . I get a particular German tomato sauce online now. Always hope it may turn up in an Aldi or Lidl. Costs 4x as much but I use it sparingly. ,
