Looking for knickers that don't cut into the thigh!

I am having a problem getting comfortable knickers. I have large thighs and all the ones I can find have seem to be the sort with elastic round the leg that cuts in. I have three wonderful pairs where the leg end is just as stretchy as the rest of the garment but they are wearing out. Any recommendations? The ones I have are from a little old lady shop with dusty window displays but even they now only have the ones with tight legs. Help!

I buy no M&S (and other brand eg Temu) vpl pants for my legs and buy a size one above my usual hip size, but don’t tumble dry them as they’ll go saggy.

I'm another one looking for the perfect knickers. In my case, I want them tight around my legs, I hate that feeling of them riding up and getting stuck in the crack!

I wear ladies “short like” knickers! Very very comfortable

Had that word 'knickers' sorry. Makesme think of bloomers!

Knicky Knacky Noos any better?🤔🤭

who'd have thought there would be so many different types of knickers!
way back in time they were called 'linings' to keep your clothes clean.

Tesco do Lycra shorts which are very comfortable. They are seamless too so no VPL

I really like Cotton Traders no VPL shorts or no vpl briefs, but I guess they won’t sell them for much longer as they’re reduced at the moment.

For cheap and cheerful try primark ladies boxer shorts. Really comfortable and a fantastic price

Another fan of Amazon Wirarpa knickers. Even better than Sloggi in my opinion. I never buy anything else now.

M&S flexifit are the best ones for me

Remember when knickers used to actually cradle your butt cheeks instead of cut across them?
Fed up with having to continually pull them out of the crack!

Another vote for M&S Flexifit. No elastic around the legs.
Very soft and comfortable, lots of different styles and colours.

John Lewis microfibre full briefs are so comfortable. Incredibly smooth and absolutely no cutting into the skin anywhere.

Try Amazon essentials. They do packs of 6 pairs of knickers in various shades (pastels, brights, etc). I bought some which are cotton, a full brief, but with cutaway leg holes. The shape's much higher than one's thigh! They have a small amount of round elastic which doesn't pinch.

Yours sell really comfortable knickers and tights .

Another vote for Sloggi Maxi. I buy a size bigger than my usual 'dress' size and they don't fall down!

Another vote for Wirarpa (Amazon)

Grandmotherto8 I second your recommendation! I am blessed with “thunder thighs” and Wirarpa are extremely comfortable and wash really well too. I think they were on the Mumsnet “Swears by” list a while ago.

Can thoroughly recommend The Big Bloomers Co. www.thebigbloomers company.co.uk Don’t let this title put you off. They’re super stretchy, in a variety of styles and colours and wouldn’t dream of digging in. I believe they’re made in Italy.

Another Sloggi maxi fan here!

Fluterby. I have whacking big thighs and wear and have always worn Sloggis. So comfortable, not too expensive on
Amazon and they last a lifetime. They have been coming up a bit small lately so last lot were size 14.

The ‘women’s bikers’ from H & M are really good (knickers styled like cycling shorts). Sold in sets of 2 from £19.99, sizes up to 4XL. Recommend you size up on the light control ones - very cool and comfortable.

Tescos have some lovely soft fabric big knickers. My daughters out me into them. No VPL either.
