If it flashes up then disappears behind Trump, I think that’s an accident. Just type in filthiest in the search box.

I hope the link works.
I don’t subscribe to The Telegraph, I just typed in filthiest items you should never share.

This is why I clean handles of shopping trolley before use (and was doing it years before covid), I also use baby wipe on cafe/restaurant tables before I sit down. Try not to touch door handles with my bare hands in public toilets
Some people are disgusting

Me too, always used handgel before it was a thing. As a student, I did bar work. I would see men coming out of loo, wiping their hands on their trousers.
Some women are just as bad.
My friend was sorting her bird feeders, then offered me a coffee without washing her hands 🤮

This is my bug bare! Workmen, that don’t respect my property, thank the lord my husband has done all our jobs. Folk that don’t wash their hands. I carry hand sanitizer around with me as nobody provides it anymore.

There's nobody other than tradesmen who have both entered my home AND used the toilet recently so I haven't had the need to check on anyone else.

We are a small family, we know to wash our hands, particularly as we have a family member with MS - and the odd friend who may visit AND use the toilet - yes I would tell them that I've put clean hand towel in the bathroom and I doubt they would blatantly not wash their hands.

Ok- I was just making a point that if anyone else came into your home and also did not wash their hands would you check that they had?

Do you check the towel has moved if other people use your bathroom- that's my point.

Is this a thread about tradesmen or handwashing?

One is a skilled and experienced person (hopefully) who you ask into your home to do work for you, the other is the reason why so many people regardless of their work or social standing, pass infection on to others. Remember Covid? How many people have become lax over handwashing? Plenty I guess and some of them wear suits to work!

😂 Well said.

It's about tradesmen who come into your home and don't wash their hands after using the toilet.

There are many tradesmen and many people who do not wash their hands after using the toilet.

Just imagine it as a venn diagram with tradesmen in one circle, handwashing in the other. The overlapping area of those two circles represents the elements that are common to both circles.

Thus it is about tradesmen not washing their hands.

You don't seem to have had much luck!

I know people who do not wash their hands after the loo and it always surprises me, but you can't stand over them and give instructions!

I don't have a lot of luck with tradesmen. Since I moved here a year ago, those that have eventually turned up have broken my hoover and a long handled dustpan and brush, stained my (brand new) carpet, knocked the end off a newly fitted worktop - you name it, they've done it.

Last week and yesterday I had two tradesmen in - one to do a small job, the other to give me a quote. They both asked if they could use the loo. OK, you can't deny anyone that. I've shown them where it is and pointedly told them (I actually pointed out to one of them with my hand) that there's a hand towel next to the basin. Both times I've gone in after they've gone and both times the hand towel is in exactly the same position and bone dry and the basin is bone dry as well. So clearly they haven't washed their hands.

Quite apart from basic hygiene, my son has MS (he doesn't live with me but he does visit) so I am extra scrupulous as he simply cannot afford to pick up any virus.

I'm not sure how else I can tactfully tell people I don't know to wash their hands after they used the toilet.

Suggestions welcome!
