Where is it? Lost or misplaced.

My OH lost his phone after a night out. I tried ringing it and eventually it was answered by a friend who heard it ringing in his wardrobe! They had taken each other's coats, if it hadn't been for the phone I wonder when they would have realised.

I lost my car keys somewhere at home about 18 years ago, never found.

I have lost a little antique gold magnifying glass. I took it to Tesco as I wanted to compare prices but the writing was still too small. I'm sure I didn't drop it but can't find it anywhere.

If you don’t find it first, do please check all bins before the bin men come! Speaking from sad experience here, but it was my own, stupid fault.

My sister lost a precious ring and was devastated. Couldn't find it anywhere. She had been to posh do and had a small purse type handbag. Years later her friend borrowed the bag. She rang my sister to ask if she had lost a ring. Yes it was in the lining of the handbag!

Was it a fitted sheet? Has the flannel somehow ended up inside it? I often find a pair of pants have slipped into my sheets, hung on the line and never noticed until I come to iron things.

What a relief! Can you piece together how it ended up in the drawer?I can’t rest if I lose something. I’ve been searching for a hospital letter that I took to the hospital a few weeks ago. Tonight I decided to listen to the advice I give everyone else which is to go back to where you first looked because that’s where it usually is. And there it was…in my handbag.

I had hearing aids for the first time in December. The girl remarked that I had very small ear-holes but I didn't think it would cause a problem until I lost one. They cost me £3,000 and fortunately I had insured them.

But first I hunted everywhere I could think of, as did DD, sadly no sign. Just as I was about to give up and make my claim, I went out into the garden to check on my strawberry plants and there in the middle of the patch was my hearing aid! Fortunately the weather had been fine, so it was unharmed.

Another thought is have you sucked your ring up the hoover?

That is such joyful news - congratulations!!!

I lost my spare set of car keys and found them after a 2 year on and off searching. I had checked every single coat, jacket pocket, handbag, drawer, even tried my husband's pockets in desperation.
I eventually found them in a mac I had not worn for for several years which I decided I would resurrect. I certainly don't remember wearing it in the time period in question. The relief and joy was quite overwhelming. So don't give up hope.

UPDATE. The strangest thing. I have a tall chest of drawers in my bedroom on which I have a TV. The two top small drawers have paperwork in one side and bits and pieces in the other. The next drawer down holds my t-shirts and vest tops. I had the two top drawers out - nothing. I looked into the t-shirt drawer again, (I had taken a strappy top out of there two days prior) and there was my ring. I could have cried. Thanks to St. Anthony and my Mum. And thank you to everyone who took time to respond.

At the moment I am missing a face flannel that I washed in with my sheets etc.

I cannot find it anywhere obvious and have resigned myself to just buying a replacement.

I expect it will turn up somewhere along the line.

.Lost my ring. I thought it was in my jewellery box I searched everywhere and prayed. I remember hovering and emptying the bag. Searched the bin and it had been hovered up. I was lucky bins due the next day. Check your bin you never know. Hope you find it.

Sorry to be cynical, but an executrix of my godmother’s will I was astonished how many of her valuables went missing. Upon visiting her I was amazed to discover her cleaner had turned up with her mother ! It’s a really poor area, but I’ m pretty sure lots of stuff vanished. In fairness we lived more than 400 miles away so could do little.Eventually she ended up in a brilliant home. Things she had ‘lost ‘ were stolen.

I once hid my jewellery when I went on holiday. Weeks later I couldn’t remember where I put it . Month is later no luck. Eventually I had some hypnosis and although nothing came out o the day within three days I had found it. So strange. The memory didn’t pop into my head I just found myself going to the place to get the pieces .
