Hiding wheelie bins

In west Suffolk you can get half size bins. They suit me much better and are far lighter. It might be worth asking your council if they provide them too.

It won't let me upload image. But if you google images, there are plenty wrap around vinyl large stickers.

You can buy stickers off Amazon ebay , they have some like ivy or clematis, they going round the wheelie bin, you stick them on.

We had some trellising made to measure and my DH attached this to the framework of the former willow screen we had which gradually disintegrated over time. This means we can open it from the front as before (no lids other than the bin lid to lift) as our former willow screen had doors. If you’ve still got the metal framework your rattan was attached to, you might be able to try that? It worked out a lot less expensive than buying ready made wheelie bin wooden screens which are very expensive.
I hope you find a solution.

I wish they made small wheelie bins for single people . Mine are huge things and heavy , ugly looking . Bins half the size would suit me . My back garden is only 15ft in length so I've moved both onto the street outside my fence and back gate . Lugging them in and out was too much .

I wish I did have a solution. I can keep mine out of sight but it’s under a tree so the pigeons poo all over them so I have to keep them next to my car ( which also has to be kept as far away from the trees as possible).

My bins have to stay at the front of my house and I find them unsightly. I had a rattan screen round them and found it convenient to just lean over, lift bin lid and put rubbish into bin but it disintegrated quite quickly. I currently have a wooden screen with a lid but find it inconvenient to hold up at the same time as the bin lid ( I'm only 5 ft).
Have any grans come up with any ideas that don't cost a fortune.
