Rimmed do an eye brow pencil that you can sharpen.

I’d like to buy an actual eyebrow pencil (as existed 30 years ago) as not keen on the shedload of chemicals in the modern ones “pencils” (which are not) I’ve looked at buying, which I don’t care to put on my skin. Anybody know of such a thing? Thank you for any tips

ELF eyebrow tinted gel. It’s brilliant, looks like a small mascara, but its waxy, so it tames the D Healey growth into shape, after a trim with the nail scissors. A couple of pounds from Superdrug or Boots. The joys of fighting decrepitude!

Be thankful you still have eyebrows! Since I caught Covid my eyebrows have disappeared. Apparently, hair loss is one of the side-effects.

I have stopped bothering about them, but mascara applied to the entire eyebrow in liberal quantities and then wiped off again does help.

Having had very dark and over-heavy eyebrows when young I am quite pleased that they are now normal in size and I tweezer out any white ones. It’s amazing how even my eyelashes are quite short now.

Aveline

I just brush over with brown eye shadow. Softer and natural effect.

Me too.

Tint and shape at the beauticians and in between do it yourself with Eyelure from Boots. White hair will dye - just leave tint on longer

Pull them out

I've got white hairs in my eyebrows but still have some light bown (okay, mousey) colour in my hair. The best thing I've found is the bargain basement Collection Incredibrow definer, £2.99. It's like a lip definer but brown, and covers the white perfectly.

Most beauty salons will dye eyebrows.
I usually have my eyelashes done as well.
I'm fairly so go for a lightish brown.
Not that expensive and very effective.

I am using tweezers, but my mother had an eyebrow pencil.

My daughter-in- law runs a business that dyes and shapes, and even removes and replaces, but I am not there yet

Have them tinted and shaped. That is what I have done and instead of bristly bushes a la Denis Healey. I have attractively shaped and evenly coloured eyebrows. It cost me abiut £20 every six weeks.

You can get eyebrow 'mascara' and coloured gels that do the same thing.

I wouldn't tweeze them out or you'll end up with a bare patch. I use a spoolie brush to brush the eyebrow out then a small pair of sharp scissors to cut the ends off where they have got too long. If they are curly I just cut the curly bit off the end.

Eyelure brow dye.

Madwoman11 Thu 17-Jul-25 19:12:52

Thank you

My hair was dark, and my eyebrows, so for white hairs I don’t tweeze them out, as I think that exacerbates the problem of them sprouting out at different angles. I cut the white hairs short individually so they are less obvious, and if they evade eyebrow dye, because they are coarse, I tame them with Brow Now, which colours, shapes and tames them.

hollysteers Thu 17-Jul-25 18:45:41

What about putting some mascara on them?

rafichagran Thu 17-Jul-25 18:39:39

Mine are very few at the moment so I use tweezers, seems to work.

Maremia Thu 17-Jul-25 18:38:46

Can you tweeze them?
There are eybrow pencils , but also pen like tubes, that paint over the offenders, from a company called 'Bobbie Flow'.
Have you tried your local salon?

Desdemona Thu 17-Jul-25 18:37:52

At the moment they are only occasional so I am grabbing tweezers and yanking them out individually.

Not sure what I am planning to do when they become more widespread.

Madwoman11 Thu 17-Jul-25 18:29:51

My eyebrows have stubborn white hairs that keep sprouting up. These hairs are very difficult to dye.
Any tips please?
