windmill1 The real McAfee is a genuine firm offering protection from internet viruses, who are one of the market leaders in that field. There are scammers around who used to send emails pretending to be McAfee and telling people that their subscription was about to run out and they needed to renew it by (of course) clicking on the link they gave and confirming their identity, paying up and so so on. At one time I was getting emails from them every week or so.
I’ve just had a weird message on another thread. They reposted my post from a few minutes earlier and added their’s telling me I’ve violated US law and my account has been suspended till I verify my identity by clicking on the dodgy link they so helpfully provided. I’ve reported it .

Almost same here: an outfit called McAfee keep sending emails to inform me they have suspended my account until I submit the required fee.
As things are still going on as normal they are obviously a scam-scum outfit merely 'trying-it-on'.
How can anyone devote so much ingenuity and effort to perpetrate these frauds when getting an honest job and an honest income wouldn't be half the hard work.......?

For nigh on two months my Inbox has been bombarded by some company/organisation by the name of 'Admiral' informing me 'Congratulations! You have won......' 'Congratulations! You have been selected......' 'Congratulations! You are the chosen one......'
This is routinely followed by several emails urgently informing me that time is running out for me to make my claim. Ha!
